It's a good thing I like Briere and think he works hard (scoring a lot helps), because otherwise his defensive play would make me want to Randy Jones him.
True Danny is not the most gifted defensive forward... but in the last postseason he ratchet it up a notch and did a better job. Where he is 'Money' is that he seems to be 'there' in big games... whether it be down the stretch or in the playoffs, Briere scores big goal at the most needed times. Since the Lockout he has been near or even at the top of the list of goal and point producers in the postseason... It may not a coincidence that his teams have gone to the Conference Finals more often than not; twice with the Flyers and at least twice by the Sabres... in the playoffs he comes up huge and helps his team advance. Also keep in mind that he was instrumental in getting the Flyers even into the POs.

Personally I forgive him his less than stellar defense and expect the coaches to spot him in key defensive situations late in games... spot him mostly on the end of the bench... but if a goal is needed, send him out there often.

I pretty much do as well, I was just being over dramatic.

I do yell at the TV though when he blows an assignment. He does it too often for my liking. I guess it's just part of the thrill.

Yeah, let's crucify the player who shows up in the playoffs and has led the team out of the gate this year, but give Carter and Richards a pass because they are so specialm, the "core". Carter and Richards are a minus 5 combined and let me tell you, a lot of times people will say how great Carter is defensively but a lot of times when a guy is breaking in the slot unmarked knocking in a top shelf goal just afterwards you can see #17 floating back late.

I'm starting to think Cartsiephan should go ahead and take the sensitivity training he was jesting about. He's too sensitive.

For some reason "Cake Eater" always reminds me of that video. It's hilarious.

I always thought Coburn resembled Graham Chapman of Monty Python's Flying Circus, but could never decide which character would be fit Braydon. I am rather fond of Mr. Luxury Yacht, but pronounced the way Mr. Luxury Yacht insists upon.

Don't the guys on the team call Hartnell "Slap Pass"? I think that one, along with Birddog, are hilarious for Hartnell

Oskars = Grouch (oops see that this has been suggested many times already)
Walker = Texas Ranger or just Tex... or Chuck (Norris)

Oskars the Grouch is great.

For Zherdev since his name is now Nikolay, olay is kind of like Olé, so we could call him that but, it's a bit of a stretch, and kind of bad but I'm throwing it out there anyways.

In case it hasn't been mentioned people also call Giroux G or X. Roo is good though, it reminds me of the character from Winnie the Pooh.

I've decided someone should be called Radar like from the tv show MASH for some reason, but I'm not sure who?
