I just realized what a horrible schedule Carolina has to start the season:

@ Minnesota (in Helsinki)
vs Minnesota (in Helsinki)
@ Ottawa
@ Vancouver
@ San Jose
@ Los Angeles
@ Phoenix

First game in Raleigh: October 27th

That's rough.

I heard something that it's a 30,000+ mile roadie. It's brutal. Edit: 15,000+ miles

The least he could've done was make it as funny as the Domi escapade.

At least he didn't hit him with a shoe, a la Mike Milbury.

That it does. I can't remember what happened to the fan, but he could easily have been charged with assault.

There is a huge line that Rypien crossed, and it's one that a pro athlete just doesn't cross. Regardless of what the fan did first (the video doesn't show that he did anything, but even if he did), the player can't just grab a fan.

I'll be surprised if there is anything less than 10 games handed down. You know this is going to be splashed all over every sports show, and it doesn't leave a good impression on non-fans and casual fans - and that's something the league simply can't have.

So Rypien sucker punches Staubitz when the ref has Stabitz held up., he pushes a ref then he gets into it with a fan. 12 games minimim.

TSN said Rypien has an in-person hearing on Friday and suggests that means at least five games.

He has officially been suspended indefinitely, at the moment.

I'm sure there was some trash talk and whatnot going on... but he certainly wasn't being physically aggressive towards him in anyway. Just read the article on ESPN about it, and Malhotra is saying some garbage about the guy being too involved with the team or something... yeah, that's not going to fly. And if they removed him from the arena, I think they owe him a ticket (or two).

The TSN recap video showed that they moved him to the first row behind one of the nets.

That is actually a pretty classy by the Wild, the kid did nothing wrong.

Like I said, If I am him I am speaking with a lawyer today. He may have just won the proverbial lottery.

Too bad Rypien makes near league minimum.

Other Wild fans were giving him high fives as he walked up the stairs

Well, when I said lottery I was referring more to the Pick 3, not the Mega Millions.

Need help on big goalie decisions tonight:

I have 4 goalies playing:

Bobo Vs ANA
Hiller VS Philly
Lundqvist Vs Toronto
Lehtonen Vs Florida

My opponent has both Toronto goalies.

I am really undecided on who to start. I am leaning towards Bobo and Lehtonen

I think Biron is starting tonight for the Rangers against Toronto.
