P88 vs. Iginla

Is Bauer's p88 the same thing as the Easton Iginla (I assume it is)?

If so, is Bauer's version as short of a blade as the Iginla?

Is it really a 6 lie or just a 5.5 listed rounded up?

It's really close, the P88 has a bit more curve, lie is similar, maybe a bit more rocker.

Also, is there really anything to gain from a shorter blade?

It is personal preference, but i don't know anybody who doesn't like the Iginla more than the P88 (Kane/Lindros). There are a few subtle differences which for some reason makes it harder to switch to the P88. I tried it for a week of shooting hundreds of pucks and my shots were always going high and I would miss the corners...I don't know why. Didn't have the same problem with the Iginla though.

It's really just what you're used to IMO, the P88 is my favorite curve personally, shoot better with it than with anything else.

Agreed. I used the Iginla curve for a few years and use the Kane curve now. Iginla is too short for me now.

I tried the Iginla but I did not like it. The lie messed me up, the rocker was too flat and the blade was too short. I love the P88.

Some people like it for stickhandling, but then again some people like a short stick for stickhandling and others (like me) prefer them longer.

Is the lie a true 6 or is it really a 5.5? I'm looking for a 6 lie

I'm making the switch from using Kane/Lindros to a Drury curve tonight in my college hockey game...things could get disastrous.

When I went from P88 to Rafalski (5 lie) there was a noticeable difference. I've held them side by side and there is a noticeable difference as well. I think P88 is a 6.

Just cup the puck way more than usual...

I remember my first game with a Drury, teed up at the point and sent a slapper head-high that my captain had to duck out of the way. Got back to the bench and heard some choice words

The special order P12 is Bauer's Iggy clone.

I impulsively picked up an X:60 p88. It is longer than the iginla and seems to be a hybrid between it and the Sakic. Can't wait to play with it. The lie could be a 5.5 or 6 because of the rocker. Also dig the rounded-square toe.
