The plot thickens... Beau Erickson is now listed as the second goalie on the Reign website. Ersberg must've found a taker overseas and bolted, or reinjured his hand...

10/21/2010 Beau Erickson Added to Roster Acquired in trade from South Carolina (ECHL)

I guess we will find out tonight! I listened to Scott Pellerin this morning on Ken Cail's radio show and nothing was mentioned about a change in goalies. Today's Union Leader says Ersberg and Zatkoff would continue to play every other game!

I don't really understand why the have to put him on waivers again unless it's re-entry??

Someone might take him, they don't want him, Jones needs to be playing pros.

Monarchs lead 2-0 in the 1st.

Goals by King(5) and Meckler(4) on the PP.

EDIT: Kozun scores his 4th to make it 3-0.

Can we send Kompon to Manchester and call up their PP coach?

5-3 now, mid 3rd, Harnden 1st Goal in his first PRO game, Meckler w/ 2 pts tonight now

6-3 ... Martinez (or Azevedo) from Hickey on the PP

Voynov, Hickey & Martinez sound like the only D men on the ice the way Ken Cail is doing the play by play.

Harnden sounds like he's having a damn fine game, all over the ice, scoring, creating turnovers ... good stuff.

and Monarchs WIN it ... 6-3

Game 3 stars
1 = Kozun - 2g 0a
2 = Martinez - 0g 3a
3 = Meckler 1g 1a

Pretty wild game. Very physical, horrible reffing, guy had no clue!!
King, Meckler and Kozun continue to impress. Harnden looked good for his first game. Holloway not so much. Zatkoff let in one very soft goal. We will need to keep up the scoring pace, can't depend on the goalies to win the game like Bernier did last season!

Hahaha yup, no more stellar goaltending for the Monarchs, they'll just need to depend on scoring and playing good, solid defensive hockey. I'm happy to see Kozun is exploding, I wasn't sure if he would be successful in the AHL, very happy to see he's playing well

Kozun's been terrific. Holloway has been a big disappointment so far - hasn't come close to duplicating last year's production. effort's been there, it just hasn't turned into points yet. as kkempy said, the best so far have been King, Meckler, Kozun & Azevedo. Zatkoff has been ok, and i suspect is still figuring out how to be the #1 - Bernier's a tough act to follow.

That's great to hear Kozun has started off well. I know some of the Monarchs fans feel disrespected around here, but I bet there is a large silent majority of people here who completely respect your opinion and appreciate your insight. Thank you, keep it coming.

2-1 Monarchs at the end of the second. Hickey has a goal and an assist so far, as well as being +2. Hopefully he's starting to turn things around.

you sqeeze the stick the harder it gets to score , thats what Buds going through right now ,tied for most shots on net and a plus three i think calling him a hugh disappointment is a little stiff.

Netminder Jeff Zatkoff stood on his head and stopped 29 shots to lead the Manchester Monarchs past the Springfield Falcons, 3-1, at the MassMutual Center on Saturday night.

It was a hard-fought affair. I think both teams competed exceptionally hard.

What's the deal with Oscar Moller. He's only played in 4 out of the 7 games. Is he hurt?

Yes ... head injury, concussion-like symptoms ... can't find too many details on it.

Hey I used to watch Azevedo when he was in Junior, and I've haphazardly been following his stats since he went to the Monarchs.

I haven't seen him play since he left though. Has he improved since he first arrived? Does he have any hope of an NHL tryout?

Had the chance to watch one of your prospects play last night, Linden Vey of the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Vey was centering the top line for them and leads the team in scoring with 13 points in 10 games.

He's a very nice looking player and is basically the most dynamic player on the team. And that's saying something when the Tigers feature Ducks prospect Emerson Etem.

Anyways, he is a very fast player and has high end offensive skills. Good vision and he knows how to find players in the offensive zone (10 assists in 10 games). He's also a gritty player that plays the body despite his somewhat small frame.

He also plays both ways, spending time on the PK. He didn't generate a ton of scoring chances for himself or his line, which I was expecting but he was still a fun player to watch. I think he could have a pro future, but most likely won't see any type of NHL minutes for atleast another 3 years.
