Why doesn't the team have one game a week where the fans vote on the line combos?

alfie needs some rest from the top line. Put the younger guys up there.

(man this is a long break between games)

Except that 7th D would be either Lee or Hale which is just quite brutal.

Either one would still contribute more than Kovalev. And I still feel that Lee gets a bad rap here. He has been playing as well as any of our D (not saying much) so far this year.

what about these lines from the game without spezza?

Michalek-Fisher-Alfredsson
Foligno-Regin-Kovalev
Ruutu-Kelly-Neil
Shannon-Winchester-Lee

I'm not sure i'm a fan of this idea, but what if you take that lineup and then insert the return the team would get from a.............(no don't say it).....Spezza trade?? Would it give us 4 super solid lines?

Interesting to think about anyway.

Clouston, when SPezza returns do not break up Michalek-Fisher-Alfie and put Regin on Spezzas wing

Finally, Fisher is on the 1st line & Spezza is on the 2nd line. Sorry, I had to.

When you got God playing with you, then sure.

He could make Kelly into a 1st line player if he plays like that again.

They were all creating opportunities and Kovalev was skating. Kovalev had a number of good chances particularly one on the PP when he passed instead of ripping it. Oh well, it's a start.
