Hartnell's Hair

Scotty Hartnell finally cut his hair:

NHLFlyers Philadelphia Flyers

Quote:
The Philadelphia Flyers will have a slightly different look tonight when they face the Toronto Maple Leafs as forward Scott Hartnell has cut off almost all of his infamous hair.

The haircut is all for a good cause as Hartnell will donate his shorn locks to the charity organization ‘Locks for Love' who are a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair.

According to Hartnell it is his first hair cut in over three years.

In an interview with FlyersTV.com, Hartnell joked about the equipment used.

"Some hedge clippers, some weed whackers and a shovel to pick it all up afterwards," Hartnell told FlyersTV.

I remember seeing an interview with Hartnell on CSN where Holmgren told him to cut, which he only came back with a minor trim. I guess after numerous penalties Holmgren didn't let it slide any longer ;p

The video is called "Scott Hartnell plays "Quick 6" on Daily News live"

Good. I have long hair, but his just sucked. When you have curly ass hair like his, gotta keep it short.

PS, I apologize if this is ****ed up, but If i had cancer, I would be pissed if they gave me Scott Hartnell's hair.

Maybe if they give you a straightening iron along with it, it would be okay?

Watch him absolutely dominate now.

Preview of a Jim Jackson quote tonight:

"OH GOD SCOTT HARTNELL SETTING AN NHL RECORD FOR 4 HAT TRICKS AND 32 POINTS IN ONE GAME"

You heard it here first.

I know he is not the most popular flyer, or the most skilled. But i think Hartnell comes across as such a genuinely nice guy. He is definitely one of my favorites and the fact that he donated his hair to "Locks of Love" makes him an all star person in my book. Glad he is a Flyer

Harts is not the most skilled player and i wish at times he had skates on his knees because he seems to be sliding around on his knees more often than on his skates at times, But he is one of them players you gotta have come playoff time because he crashes the net and creates havoc better than anyone we have. I like Harts as a player, but i do cringe like everyone else when he makes some of his crazy penalties etc....Glad to hear his mane went to such a great cause.

He actually looks human now. Will it be harder to hate on him when he falls down and/or Knuble's a PP?

I agree, at the Minnesota pre-season game I sat right behind the Flyers bench and even the Wild fans liked Hartnell. One of them was all over Carcillo and Car-bomb snapped and started swearing at him. Meanwhile Hartnell just smiled and gave the Wild fan a puck between periods. The fan said Hartnell was great with the fans last year when they played there as well. And no... not the same fan from the Rypien "incident".

Anybody have a pic from the play-offs (was it in 08?) when Hartnell straightened his hair just for laughs... that was pretty funny.

I really like hartnell, and was never one to give up on him so early last year. He had a rough year, but lets face it, he's a flyer through and through
