Watch us lose this one. Not because of Garfinkel... I'm just saying. The Devils suck right when we get to play them and we're starting to look pretty good.

We're set up for failure!

Home game vs a team in turmoil. Better get a win before the Devils figure themselves out

Well, at least we can all blame Garfinkel if the Rangers lose tomorrow

these games are always dangerous. It always seems like we never catch a team at the beginning of a slide, we catch them when they're furious about it

Normally I feel this is a let down game and they show up flat and listless. But something makes me feel that this group may not be subject to the same predictable patterns as past Ranger teams. Maybe it's the youth. Maybe they don't know any better. Maybe I'm just wrong. I think they win this. And if they do happen to lose, I don't feel like it will be because they didn't show up which is rather refreshing.

If Kovalchuk plays tomorrow you better hope Avery is on his game to get him off his game/off the ice with a dumb penalty. Gotta think the dude is gonna come out flying after being a healthy scratch.

Anyways, I hope we can expose Marty for the old goalie he is behind a pretty awful looking defense. Maybe have some of our forwards gain a little confidence too by putting the puck in the net. Avery and Callahan are pretty due, I expect goals by both tomorrow.

LETS GO RANGERS

Hopefully, he doesn't play. If he does... well, at least Eminger won't be playing.

I don't expect Prust will play--so if the Rangers don't call anyone up they'll probably dress Eminger as a spare d-man--maybe push him or Gilroy up to forward.

The Rangers still haven't won on home ice and these are the kind of games--when a team looks down like New Jersey does--that you expect to win and then you don't. They're going to have to come out with the same hard effort and do it consistently and keep awary from too many penalties as New Jersey is going to be dangerous if they get that lethal looking pwp going.

I still think the Devils are not constructed very well. On the one hand too many older players and on the other too many inexperienced players. Looking at their board after the game yesterday--the posters seem particularly unhappy with Langenbrunner, Elias, Clarkson and Tallinder. I think Volchenkov is out. Brodeur has been so-so. Going to have to keep Kovalchuk in check. He could be really motivated in this one.

I've been thinking that ever since I found out he was scratched yesterday, it'd be just our luck.

Marty gave up 2 last night in the loss. NY needs to play like they did in the 3rd last night and kick 'em while their down.

Have you watched any of the previous games this season? Coming out flat, taking penalties while shorthanded, hitting each other by accident, letting up goals with seconds left, it's the exact same team as usual.

Kovy is going to be a monster tomorrow. MacLean is all talk, there is no way in hell he doesn't play Kovalchuk tomorow. It's like last season when Ovechkin and like 12 other superstars made week early returns for the Rangers and played like hall of famers.

Sorry, just frustrating never watching a Rangers game without shaking my head in awe at their stupidity.

Volchenkov is already hurt? Hah

I like the guy but *******...definitely one reason I was wary about the possibility of the Rangers signing him.

fake edit: I guess this is still from him getting hit in the visor with a shot and breaking his nose? Not exactly something he can do a lot about in that case, I guess. Then again, he's known as a shot blocker and blocked a shot with his face resulting in injury soooo...

Adam Rotter just tweeted me that Prust was on the flight back last night and is "questionable" for tonight. That's great news, IMHO.

Any word if Kovy is playing tonight, or is he still a game time decision?

If I were betting on it, Kovy is definitely not going to sit for another game.

I come in peace from the land of the Devil and Quick Chek abound...

You can all bet that if Kovalchuk sits again tonight, there will be a bounty out on MacLean's head.

That being said, I just hope we're in for a good hockey game from both sides. I'll be at the Garden tonight and I don't want to leave disappointed. LGD.

They have set themselves up, The Devils that is, to be VERY determined to play the A game tonight.

Bench Kovy, sit Marty, get embarrassingly spanked at home by the Slugs = They will be on it tonight.

Rangers best bet is to come out barnstorming hitting everything that moves and get to Marty early try to shake the Devils confidence.

Rangers played a great game last night, aside from the penalties, like to see them string a few together.

Devils are undoubtedly gonna come out with a fire under their *****.

Rangers have to try to take them out of the game early, and get them discouraged.
