Marian Gaborik progressing (Update: back skating)
An update on Gabby
Quote:
Marian Gaborik, sidelined with a separated left shoulder since the Oct. 15 game against the Leafs, had platelet-rich plasma therapy Tuesday and is progressing with his recovery.
Gaborik, 28, had said the PRP therapy, which involves collecting a concentrate of a patient's platelets and white blood cells, mixed it with an activating agent and re-injecting it into damaged tissue, helped repair previous groin and hamstring injuries. It is not believed that a second treatment will be necessary

Gaborik has been out a week. Original prognosis was 2-4 weeks.

I admit, I chortled....
Let's hope Gabby is back soon. Maybe some of the momentum can carry over given the way this team has been playing.

With 4 starting players out now, this is great news. Hopefully he continues progressing and he comes back very soon.

It's great that he's progressing but i really really hope he is not rushed back in any way, yes we need him but we don't need him permanently screwing up his shoulder and his shot.

Lee Majors (the original) has been rebuilt. Thats for sure. That guy had been facelifted so much that I think his ears have finally met.

me too....plus we've been winning. Of course he makes our team a lot better when he's on the ice but no reason to risk further injury when they've been holding there own without him.
Take your time gabs and come back at 100%!

Even if he's available in a week, rest him for another one afterwards. Play it safe.

really liked the lines from opening night, without dru, if we are winning without him ,all the better, but the rangers miss him on the power play, which has looked better recently but isnt quite there. gabby doing well is good news.

Combine the skills of Gabby with the durability of Drury and you have yourself one solid player.

Probably not the best time to mention Drury's durability
. Still true for the most part.
That having been said, our powerplay has not been great, but they are moving the puck around with EXCELLENCE. a bonafide sniper like Gaborik would do amazing with how our powerplay is currently working. Guarenteed a ******** of goals...

As good as the team has been playing recently, his presence is sorely missed (especially on the PP).
GET WELL SOON, GABS!

I just wanted to clear things up for some of our younger posters who didn't get that reference.
