As low scoring as our powerplay has been, they have been moving the puck around VERY well. All it takes is one of the best finishers in the NHL and we would be LETHAL on the powerplay. Luckily we have one

the powerplay in the 3rd period tonight (vs NJ) was gawd awful. 1st two periods were looking good.

Based on annual salary, I guess Gabby is the seven million dollar man.

The sooner he comes back, the better, although I don't want to see him rush back and get hurt again or not be 100% healthy.

Just saw it on Sportsnet, it said Gabby hopes to resume skating next week. Good news, we'll need him in November.

Skating yes, but probably in a non-contact jersey.

Ironic that this offseason we scarcely mentioned the possibility of a Gaborik injury.
Now its happened.

I'd keep Gabby away from contact for another two weeks. For precaution.

We all can say about this injury that "at least it wasn't a major injury". That's a positive out of a negative.

If our new first line can succesfully translate into a good second line and have Gabby come back and start scoring on the first, would it be possible we have two lines that can actually score? This alone would make us ten times better than last year

yeah. nice thing is gaborik coming back wont require us breaking up any of whats currently working and instead he can hopefully solidify the first line which has been anemic.

Lol that's more than he had in 76 games last year...
Try something more along the lines of 65 GP, 30-35 G, 25-30 A, and 55-65 points.

Its been close to two weeks already. Whatever happened to a speedy recovery? Was supposed to be 2-4 weeks.
Team is going to need help sooner than that.
If he plays 60 games this year i'll be happy with 30 goals out of him.
