My other east team was Tampa, but now I'm kind of pissed at them. I still like Stamkos a lot, though.
My west team is the Sharks because of Nitty.

Don't really have another team in the East. Hated Buffalo when we played them every year in the playoffs, now I think they're fun to watch, but still don't "like" them.
Oh, in this vein I also like to root for RPI alums, but as far as I'm aware that list is currently Chicago (**** them) and Toronto (no ****ing chance), so that's not happening right now.

I've lived in the Phoenix area for the last four and a half years. Went to 15-20 Coyotes games last season. I like their squad. Cheer for them when I go and if they're on tv but I could really give a rats ass about the 29 other teams compared to the Flyers.

There is only one team for me; the Flyers, and the rest of the league can go **** themselves

I figured we'd get responses like this. To each's own. I love the Flyers, and any team in their way can **** off, but there's nothing wrong with enjoying the play of other teams. The west especially, considering they have little to do with the Flyers...except for the Blackhawks. One of the reasons I love Center Ice, though.

I was a Nordiques fan before they moved to Denver and stuck on with the Avs for a few years... now I like watching the Kings but I wouldn't really say I cheer for them.

It's not that I dislike all the other teams, I can't just bring myself to develop any kind of emotional attachment to a team other than the Flyers. Center Ice is indeed awesome. My roommates and I subscribe as well. I enjoy to watch teams from all over play but only one club has an effect on my mood.

I'm in a different situation than you guys here. Because I've lived in Edmonton since 78, I'm a huge Oil fan. But I was a Philly fan when I was about 6 years old, so whenever it's been Us against Them, it's always Us (Philly) first. Other than that, I like the Bruins in the East.

LA Kings.

Other East team, not terribly sure. I guess one of the Canadian teams.

Up until a couple months ago, Chicago was my "second favorite team". Now, I guess Vancouver could fill that void seeing how they're the geographically closest NHL team to me.

To hell with all the other teams in the East.

I wouldn't call my likes an emotional attachment, at least for me. I just have teams I like more than others, we all obviously do. I have some I like enough to where if I see them on Center Ice, I'll stop and watch the game. Tampa, and many of the west teams, are all teams I'll find myself guilty of this. Sometimes the Caps and Bruins too.

Well said - I feel the same way. I enjoy watching some of the teams out west (Edmonton is going to be a lot of fun to watch in a year or two), but I don't care who wins or loses the game, unless it's against one of the Flyers' rivals.

couldnt say it any better myself sir...other teams are fun to watch but only the flyers effect my mood. like last nights loss to the blue jackets, i felt dissapointed afterwards. the kings and wild game on versus had zero effect on me. so for me it is the Flyers.

In the East, I like Carolina because of the various players that have played for both teams since the Whalers moved south. Since they won the Cup, though, my admiration has lessened.

In the West, I really like the Sharks. I enjoy watching their games late at night on NHL Center Ice. As MSE stated above, I like Vancouver for their broadcast team. The Sharks' team is also excellent.

That all pales to the way I feel about the Flyers.

I'll agree to this 99.9%. Phoenix gets me happy/angry because I have Bryzgalov on my fantasy team, and in the league, getting a win is often the difference between earning positive and negative points for the night from him. So when he loses or gives up a goal while I'm watching, I usually yell some expletive out, but that's really it. After the game is over after he gets a loss I won't feel disappointed or anything. Otherwise, like you said, the other teams don't effect me ever.

To bad Tampa didn't re-sign Nitty.

Out west I would have to say Edmonton, because Taylor hall optimizes the type of player I enjoy to watch, and he kinda reminds me of Lindros.
The Habs...I just puked on my keyboard, I root for total and ultimate failure for that franchise and that they miss the playoffs every year....same with any other team in the EC.
