A couple of quotes about O'Donnell's fight:

O'Donnell: “Different guys can contribute in different ways. And I felt that the time was right to try to do something.”

Laviolette: “I think [the game’s momentum] switched right around then. I thought we were a little sluggish, and then … that seemed to be the turning point there. It brought a little energy to the building, it brought a little energy to the bench, and from there, we were able to play better hockey.”

Sounds like what Lappierre was ABSOLUTELY perfect at doing last year.

hahaha, their homer goggles must rival the Hubble. never mind that the flyers have two good, legit #1 dmen, and insane depth. they arent penguins damnit, so they are not of the master race!

the briere unit looked dominate and of course that is the last thing buffalo fans want to see. the last few times i have been in west chester everyone hated the guy, perhaps i need to return.

after rewatching the goals, i really love that betts let nodl take the goal. it looked like he had a decent chance to get it himself.

I was at the game. I can safely say that Nodl's only obstacle from becoming a star in the NHL is the other fact that the opposing team generally has a goalie.

Still would prefer that we finish the game strong. Didnt like most of the 3rd period. didnt the Sabres get 8 or 9 straight shots at one point of the 3rd. Better all around effort tonight then the CBJ game.

PP finally made an appearance.
Bobrovsky was good for the most part.
gonna hold out reservations for Zherdev. hes done this before then dissapeared for 6 straight games. Hopefully we can build on this going forward. 4-4-1 is still unacceptable.

Scott Hartnell has 5 points in his last 5 games. Not bad.

I think Bob should have saved the 3rd goal but otherwise made some solid saves. I think once Leighton comes back I would have no problem Bob going down and starting in the AHL, even if the whole AHL teams sucks. Next season, I can make a bet he is our starter.

Holy crap!!! There was a shot of him in the box after the fight, and I was trying to figure out who he reminded me of. Thank you!

Great game tonight, aside from the first 10 minutes, and the last 10 minutes.

I thought Carter had a phenomenal game tonight, he did blow the open net, but other than that, a really, really nice pass on Powe's goal to set up the 2 on 1 and I thought he was all over the place all night.

Hope that keeps up, was also putting some good shots on net and creating some rebounds.

Now to solve Richards and JVR...

I know Zherdev scored the goal, but again, would it kill him to forecheck?
