Fine by me. Had a great first game and needs to get that first home game out of the way.

each game Henrik sits in the fall is one less game he plays terrible mid season

Is Sauer still hurt? I hope he is not a healthy scratch.

I'd like to see some points from Anisimov, Stepan, and Del Zotto tonight.

Gross has him down as a healthy scratch.

"#NYRangers lineup stays the same save for Biron in for Lundqvist. Gilroy-Eminger the third D-pair with Mike Sauer the healthy scratch."

I don't know, Henke coming off two strong games, plus the back to back Friday and Saturday...I would've definitely gone with Henrik.

So Biron tonight, Henke Friday, and then back to Biron on Saturday? Whose the starter for this team again?

This is pretty much my thinking going into every game (+Staal).

I'm guessing its two things.

1. Get Biron a game at the Garden
2. Henke gets in a good groove playing both back to back games

Would have personally preferred Sauer in and Biron @ Toronto, but whatever.

Why the hell is Sauer sitting? There is literally no possible reason for it, considering he is healthy. Torts...

If you're talking about the upcoming back to back on Friday and Saturday it's basically known fact that Biron is getting the start in Toronto on Saturday.

If you weren't, my bad.

Why is it "a known fact"?

One of the beat writers mentioned that as a possibility, but also that Biron "will play one of the upcoming games."

He's now playing tonight. Henke played both back-to-back games last weekend. He's more than likely going to again this weekend.

We don't know what's going on behind closed doors. Everyone was pissed at Torts and Sully last game Eminger started, because they didn't know Sauer was sore.

Tonight could be no different. Sauer could have a headache, could be sore, could have a stomach ache, he could have mouthed off, etc etc etc.

You guys need to stop overreacting to the coaches decisions all the time. There's A LOT going on that we are completely oblivious too.

I don't know if that means he wants to get him back in there tonight, or back in there in Toronto. But I'd say it's a safe bet assuming Biron starts on Saturday too.

Why does Torts continue to put Eminger on D?

I'm sure he wants a "veteran" presence out there but it is as clear as day that Eminger is awful and doesn't belong on the ice. From what I have seen from him early on is that he likes to hit people, but he is slow and prone to turnovers and bad positioning in the defensive zone.

Anyways, my rant is over and let's go Rangers!!

Has to be 2 game intervals for the defensemen. Sauer will be in next with Gilroy out???

Not following a perfect pattern here.

I blame Torts for your use of bold text.

I thought Eminger played alright last game. I don't want lights out, just solid D as the 3rd pair.
