Do you remember 05'-06'? He may be above PPG right now, but he is nowhere near as dominant a player as he was back then (when he was 5th in art ross voting).

I have been saying this for a while now.

Alfie is literally getting better. Racking up 80 points seems extremely do-able. I'd even consider 90 for him.

He's been THAT affective with the puck.

This.

Alfie never had exceptional breakaway speed but before if you gave him some open ice he'd make the most of it and wouldn't be caught. His second goal in Buffalo is a good example, he was nearly foiled by 2 backcheckers, 5 years ago they wouldn't even have been close to him.

He's still a good player and as smart as ever, but physically he is past his peak.

The fact that he still puts up numbers, is a good all around player, and can kill penalties is a testament to work ethic and intelligence.
There's a lack of snap in him, no extra gear...he still finds a way to be worth more than his salary.

It's tough to enjoy the game when you have an old fart glaring at you every time you dare scream or clap.

I don't care how quiet they are, it's their business, but there really is a problem with people making the more enthusiastic fans feel bad for being loud.

It wouldn't bother me. If he wants to waste his time by glaring at people he dissaproves of well it sucks to be him. Act the way you want to act and let him deal with it. As long as you're not getting in his space he has no right to be upset so don't let it bother you. It's a hockey game.

Agreed. But he still plays at a pretty high level.

That's just wrong. I love sitting where there are lots of kids who cheer and shout.
