Man, I really with blues had non-homer announcers, kinda hard to trust what they say.

I'm not totally sure he didn't have one foot on the ice, but he has to know better than that. Anything borderline is going to be called with the new rules in place.

Game's over now.

it was NOT all as grotesque as the blueser announcers made it sound but it was blatantly stupid and likely puts this game out of reach.

blame the whole team, Tootoo was trying to get the team into the game with a big hit, if they had actually come to play tonight it would have never come to this.

Ya they are really bad,

blues guys tossed his gloves and punched too too in the face. and they did not say anything

And when you elbow the goalie in the head, its because you don't know were the puck is.

Really doesn't matter if he left his feet or not. It looked like a blindside hit to the head which the league isn't too lenient on.

Dose blind side simply mean when the player is not looking?

No but please get cube off the top pairing, he and Weber have no chemistry.

the call was overblown, Tootoo was aiming shoulder to shoulder.

remember that one time when Erat did something in a game? that was cool.

I'll have to look at a better quality replay, my feed is pretty choppy, but shoulder to head is what I saw.

Good hit by Tootoo, and bad call by the refs.

Its on the main page and the only complaining so far is about the refs kicking out Toots. Absolute garbage he don't get a major for a legit call that Backstrom did and Tootoo makes a clean hit and is thrown out.

Well, it was bound to happen. Your streak is over. It had to happen sooner or later. I thought Wilson looked like he was flying, strong on the boards, as usual, yet no power play time again! Not sure why? Thinking maybe that could help.

I'm with you on this one.

Personally, I thought the hit was pretty clean in realtime. On review, it's borderline. Unless the refs saw something from a different angle that I couldn't see, I wouldn't have given him 5 minutes for it. Definitely wouldn't suspend him for it.

Not sure if the refs even made the call until after the play, when too did not fight.

If that hit is what they are defining as 'blindside' then we really have '*********' the game as Bobby Mac says. Blues player is not back to the wall in the corner, he is actual partially turned in a high traffic area but does not look. Does this mean know guys that don't keep their heads up aren't fair game? Now, I am not excusing the hit-- it is a definite penalty and may have been correct as a major. However, I am not so sure this should be lumped in with the new rule. Will be interesting to see how the league rules on it. Because it is Toots we are talking about, he likely does get the book thrown at him. But I don't like the precedents being set by this new rule if we really expect any consistency from the league office (I know, that merits a facepalm).

Yeah just saw a replay, it wasn't to the head. No further discipline necessary.
