NO one on the team is playing like an "absolute stud". And no one said anyone was... Maybe Colin White has been somewhat studly as our defacto #1 (which is asking a lot of him). Taormina is performing beyond expectations, but is surely no stud.

Everyone else in the D corps has been mentally challenged and embarrassing on the ice.

Will happily concede Jim and your point that Corrente hurt himself after perhaps his two best games, after being a distinct liability up to that point, so if that is enough to raise expectations for you guys -- then have at it!

You who are often purposefully obnoxious and hilariously condescending lacks sufficient backbone to handle "snarky". Wow.

I am joking around with you... So ease off on the throttle, big fella.

...anyone else hear an echo in here? A fold in the space time continuum? Deja Vu?

I feel we have been here before, at this same snarky crossroads. Just me and you, Jim.

Anyway, not going to "realize" he was playing well. Saw the same games as you. Saw stupid, costly penalties and bad positional play. One nice shot from the point and a plus/minus stat isn't going to change what my own lyin' eyes showed me.

It is a matter of opinion. Mine differs from yours. I think Matt Corrente is not a very smart hockey player, and think his "heart" causes more damage than good to the needed result of winning hockey games.

And I think he may be a long term bust of "Bergfors-esque" proportions, to put it in a context you might understand.

(Although Bergie will be more productive and play more NHL games than Corrente ever will... But neither will be meaningful NHL players for any duration... One opinion.)

Ledger_NJDevils Matt Corrente has a non-displaced fracture of
left hand. Doesn't need surgery or a cast. He's out one week to 10 days.
