John Rosasco Ranger PR director aka : John Ros***hole
Another wonderful thought out decision to cancel an event two days before it happens.
Your blatant disregard for Ranger fans when it comes to thanking fans for spending their hard earned money and dedication to this team is utterly mind boggling.
Rosasco. You are horrible at your job, please step down.
These guys don't care 1 iota about their season subscribers. The promotional giveaways are garbage, if they ever have them. I mean what have we gotten, 1 hat or shirt in the last 5 years? And then they do away with one of my personal favorites, the print media guide. How much could that have cost them? I pay tens of thousands of dollars per year and they can't give me a $10 guide? I always looked forward to picking mine up on opening night...and now they want me to print a PDF? I'm really souring on the whole experience. I'm a patient guy. I can wait for the team to be competitive...particularly as long as they don't make horrendous moves. But the nickel and diming and utter lack of disregard of their loyal customers is getting to me. /rant
The perks have gone downhill in the past 3 years. My brother always ran a group outing at MSG with a premium game and would get an official jersey for every 30 tickets he purchased. One year for a Rangers/Isles game he got 3 jerseys. 2 years ago they offered a hat for everyone which was decent. Last year nothing and I figure this year will be the same.

Jeez, what do you have, 4 seats against the glass?

Well, a seat at 100 each is 4400 per year times 4 is 17,600. So anything above 125 or so is technically "tens of thousands", but I don't know what sort of business he runs

I've got 2 pairs. 1 in Section 209 which run $216/game or $9,500/season. The other pair is in the 300s and at $112/game costs $5,000/season. So all in that's nearly 15k. So yes, tens of thousands per year. It's a lot of money to a team that has demonstrated, to me at least, that they really don't appreciate my business.
Has anyone been able to get an answer as to why the skating party was canceled with basically no notice?
From what I've read, this was the players who wanted to skate Sunday and have Tuesday off. They (Callahan on the team's behalf) asked to switch the days. I don't think throwing this all in the coach's lap is quite fair.

I don't blame the players/coach for asking for ice time, but it's on ownership to say, sorry the ice isn't available, you can go to chelsea piers instead or whatever. They total screwed their most loyal fans and they better make this up or they will really pay next season
That sounds like nonsense. If the players want to skate, they skate at the practice facility. Since when do they have practice skates at the garden on non-game days?

I haven't heard anything about this, but maybe it was meant that the players were supposed to be at the skating party on their day off, and instead they wanted to have practice on Sunday and their day off on Tuesday.

Exactly what I was trying to say. It really wasn't that complicated.

But... weren't the players supposed to be a part of this event?

I like meeting players but it doesn't have to be on the ice. I would have been fine with a skate party with just a few old timers, I can go get an autograph some other time. The skating at MSG is the whole point
