New HF Organizational Rankings

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article..._fall20101120/

We're #14! We're #14!

Discuss.

Quote:
14. Carolina Hurricanes

Strengths: Carolina is extremely strong down the middle with 2010 first round pick Jeff Skinner leading the pack along with Zach Boychuk, Zac Dalpe, and Riley Nash. Winger Drayson Bowman is a great compliment to the team's talented centermen. The 'Canes also selected Justin Faulk and Mark Alt at the 2010 draft, adding great depth to an already talented group of defensemen featuring Jamie McBain, Brian Dumoulin, and Bobby Sanguinetti. Weaknesses: After Bowman, the Hurricanes lack talent and depth on both wings. The team's emphasis on offensive-defensemen means there are no elite defensive blueliners. The organization has a couple decent netminders in Justin Peters and Mike Murphy, but lacks a top flight goalie prospect. Top 5 Prospects: 1. Jamie McBain, D, 2. Jeff Skinner, C, 3. Zach Boychuk, C, 4. Zac Dalpe, C, 5. Brian Dumoulin, D.

I hate how "lack of wingers" bumps us down the list... having Center and Defensive depth is way more important.

Same with a "top flight goalie prospect".

Ward's young enough and good enough that we don't have to worry about his replacement for a long while.

This website, collectively, has no idea about Hurricanes prospects. Never has and until they employ somebody that knows the game, knows the team, and knows enough about hockey history to make projections they never will.

I hate to be that blunt, but this site values credentials in journalism over any remote accuracy in hockey knowledge. You wouldn't know it from the ridiculous inaccuracies in the delivery, but they do.

I can't wait for Justin Faulk

offensive defenseman, stocky build, great on his skates, like to play a physical game

Skinner and Boychuk are winger. Will NEVER be centermen in the NHL unless it's entirely out of desperation.

And Dumoulin is not an offensive defenseman. Aside from Cory does anyone on the staff at HF that had a say in this process have any ****ing clue about the Canes prospects?
