How do you not hear, see or feel a train coming?

they might be under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

I watched the LCN report yesterday night and some young people said that doing graffiti there is like the Hall of fame because it's dangerous.

I can believe it, some big vehicles move like a cloud. City buses move with hardly a whisper. I know a train isnt a bus but when you are stupid enough to be spraying grafiti on the tracks with no one watching it just screams of natural selection.

It was near the Turcot interchange, not west-island.

pretty pathetic way to die if you ask me ... usually when you hear choo choo one would run AWAY

It's not funny what happened but it's a type of thing you'd expect to happen to an autistic or retard

Choo choo? This isn't the 19th century. Now I don't know how you don't see or hear a train coming, but they were most likely under the influence and from news reports the train is pretty "quiet".

Please people, keep it classy, no need to insult, they were just kids being kids, hopefully this will be a lesson for others to stay away from the tracks.

One thing is for sure...

That train must have been fast and quiet (drowned out by the autoroute no doubt) and not visible until the last moment.

All five of them obviously missed it coming... pretty tragic that no one was designated as "the lookout"

I reserve judgement.

R.I.P.

there are 40 year old doctors/engineers/artists/whatever who remember what they have done in the past and think "I was so stupid back then"

These kids may have been stupid that night, but they had potential and lives ahead of themselves just like any other kid and now, it's all gone to waste. That's the sad part

Really heart wrenching story; no one deserves to go like this. RIP.

There’s no reason to be insensitive. There are family/friends grieving the loss of these kids.

I can't believe some of you posters, you really are scum.

I'm 32 and I can tell you I've done a hell of a lot of stupid things in my past... I was just lucky and I'm still here. Those of you talking crap, can you honestly say you've never done anything stupid in your lives?

Have a heart and show some respect.

You know, if these victims were 10 , 11 or 12 years old I'd feel sad and have pitty. I'd feel like they were just being stupid kids, not mature enough to know better or understand the risks.. But these victims were 18 and 19 years old - what the **** are they doing playing on the tracks?

Sorry, too many things wrong and evil in this world to waste my sorrow on losers

yes, it's completely sad to see young men die with their entire life ahead of them.

But I'll save my pity for the sick children dying from diseases that most of us can't even pronounce; kids who'd give their left arm to have the health and freedom these young men had.

Should I also feel sorry for the drunk driver who smashes into a tree and dies?

17 year old + doing graffiti on the track = looser ?

wtf man.

The train was running 3hours late, maybe that's why they did not expect it at all.
