Apparently I'm defensive and bitter for saying that I don't think Brodeur will ask for a trade, no matter how bad it gets here. Ok then.

My friend thinks the Devils would be better off trading for another forward rather than a PMD. He's nuts.

If the Devils make the playoffs and have an early exit, the season is a failure.

Right now, however, even that very modest scenario seems lights years removed.

Thank you.

you traded a prospect and a draft pick and then proceeded to pay jason arnott 4 million per?

I think it is safe to say lou has lost his mojo. this guy is horrible, just horrible

seriously i hate him more than rolston by far, i want pando, mattou and anyone else we can muster this stinks!!!

Everybody here was happy with signing Jason Arnott.

They've been clamoring to bring him back since the departure of Gomez.

90% of us were ecstatic when we acquired him. Don't pretend to act like you thought it was a bad idea. And who the **** cares about his salary. He's gone at the end of the year anyway.

I was happy with it at the time, especially since it was just for one year.

I have to admit, after watching Arnot for Nashville over the past couple of seasons, I'm nearly shocked that he looks so lifeless. Just hope he's not totally done.

Yeah I don't recall anyone complaining about the deal. Even the people who worried about Arnott's age passed off the concern because as you said its one year.

Arnott isn't washed up yet. He hasn't recovered his former chemistry with Elias, but I'm not going to say they can't.

And I'm astounded at the selective hate for a few players when damn near everybody has been terrible.

Arnie was fine up until the road trip. Which he's been playing with a twisted ankle since it started.

Check back once Halischuk and that shiny "draft pick" amount to anything, OK?

True, Arnott looks ineffective through 13 games, but you post as if Lou traded Oveckin and Crosby for him. All shiny futures do not turn out to be priceless pretty things and should not be spoken of as such. Hal would not have even been on this team out of camp and projects as a third liner, in the NHL, if he is to make it. Perspective.

Lots of things to complain about. This one, currently, is at the bottom of the list.

Again, stop blaming individual players when the team as a whole is a mess. We won games with Mike Rupp centering our top line a few years ago.

yes but none of us watched him play, we are not paid scouts these guys get paid to evalutate a hockey players current ability

we all like the sound of a legit 2nd line big center that could help our pp, hit, and score 20 goals that is what the fans thought we were getting, and if i was paid to scout arnott i could have told you thats not what we were getting

I watched him play 2 months before he was traded. He looked fine to me.

He looked pretty decent in the playoffs with Nashville. A lot of their fans warned us about this though. He's just one of the many problems with the team right now.

I'm not ready to say the 2nd is nothing. A 2nd got us Jon Merill last draft.

as opposed to inventing trades, and giving lines nicknames that have not even produced an nhl goal yet, oh yeah sorry

there are certain players that are extra bad and arnott has been a main culprit, if he is playing hurt than its news to me
