Montreal Canadiens @ Columbus Blue Jackets - 7PM EST (RDS HD,TSN-HABS HD)

Tue, Nov 2, 2010 - 7:00PM EST
Nationwide Arena, Columbus OH

NHL.comMontreal leads the Northeast Division and could break a tie with Philadelphia and Tampa Bay for the Eastern Conference lead by gaining at least a point Tuesday. Columbus, meanwhile, is the only team in the tightly-bunched Central Division in action -- while the Blue Jackets begin play in fifth place, a win would jump them into a tie for second with the Blues, just one point back of the division-leading Blackhawks.

As a Wild fan, I can tell you Columbus improved a bit since last season and they clearly provoked flames into the Wild organization after their first game against but nevermind. I don't think the "if you lose against Columbus, you get problems" applies with Eastern Conference teams though.

Also, Garon will start for Columbus.

oh and I really wouldn't be surprised if RDS would make 1 intermission interview with either Vermette, Brassard or Garon.

How about all three together, with Benoit smudged in between them with a huge smile on his face.

I heard La Belle Province is having a 2 for 1 special on poutine if you're wearing a Latendresse jersey.

Nash breaks his mini slump against us. You know it will happen because every player breaks out of their slump against the habs.

I have a bad feeling about this one.

I say Jackets 4-2.

Not sure if it will be a defensive game or a blow out,Columbus is either low scoring or high scoring

Anyways find a way and get the 2 points

Just a thought...but has Maxim Lapierre noticed the season has started? I've barely even noticed he's playing since the 1st game of the year against the Leafs.

You're underestimating what has (sadly) become the most important factor as to whether or not Columbus fans show up: whether the game is on a Friday/Saturday night or not. 12,000 would be a good turnout.

Always fun to see Nash play against my Habs. I kinda have a man crush on #61.

Higgins, Halak and a 1st for Nash?

agreed. Not playing very well, atm. I've noticed him loafing on his return to the bench while he's coming off from a line change.

Very frustrating; considering what he's capable of.

Expected CBJ line-up:

Nash - Brassard - Voracek (Brass has been semi-hot lately, the other 2 cold)
Filatov - Vermette - Umberger (Filly's first game back on the 2nd line after a demotion, Vermette VERY cold, Umberger works hard all the time)
Dorsett - Pahlsson - Clark (Clark is our leader in points, Dorsett has two goals already, Pahlsson is Pahlsson)
Wilson - MacKenzie - Boll (Wilson has been hot, DMac OK, Boll is Boll)

Hejda-Stralman
Tyutin-Russell
Klesla-Methot

Garon
Mason

Garon has better stats than Mason. When Mason has a bad game, it is really bad.

Main problems - top skill guys trying to be too fancy/cute. They just need to shoot and stop over passing.

I heard the owner of the Blue Jackets doesn't like hockey.

Is this true?
