I like weekly pools in small doses. I do prefer one-year leagues best though.

I have five leagues. One is a one-year league, one is a weekly league, and all the other ones are dynasty or limited keeper leagues. It's nice to have a mix.

Holy crap, that's just too much for me. I max out on two leagues, one keeper and one single season. It's just too much time.

Penguins center Jordan Staal will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a fractured right hand and could miss up to six weeks, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.

Staal suffered the injury when he was hit with a puck in practice.

The 22-year-old native of Thunder Bay, Ontario was a finalist for the Selke Trophy last season as the NHL’s top defensive forward. He has yet to play this season because of a foot infection stemming from off-season surgery. Staal suffered a severed tendon in his foot during the 2010 playoffs against Montreal. He was close to returning to the lineup after skating with the team at practice for the past two weeks.

Dr. Glenn Buterbaugh will perform the surgery.

Should be a safe bet to start

Hawks are without Hossa/Bolland so our O is pretty depleted

Hawks forward lineup tonight isn't that worriesome for large goal explosions like in past

Brouwer-Toews-Kane
Stalberg-Sharp-Kopecky
Pisani-Potulny-Skille
Scott-Dowell-Smith

1st line is clicking now , Sharp is sorta stuck alone with guys who cant finish , Our 3rd line outside of Skille is #### (I hate both Pisani and Potulny)

Scott is utterly worthless and shouldn't be in NHL . Dowell is a good #4 C and Smith is a nice rookie who has looked good and plays well in all facets of game

Only good news is that Campbell is gonna make his season debut

Hammer has always been a big hitter. People just didn't really know who he was until last years playoffs when his role in Hawks top 4 led more people to see him

When he has chance to lay someone out he takes it. Sorta like Campbell

Both can deliver huge hits but tend to do it rarely

Fantasy question here. I'm thinking about picking up Bobrovsky and dropping Varlamov, but was wondering if you guys know what the situation will be like with him when Leighton comes back? I'm hearing a late November return for Leighton. Thanks and grats on today's win.

There has been speculation from a variety of sources. No one can say with certainty but as the team's radio PxP man said two nights ago "He ain't going anywhere." The situation remains fluid. If the team keeps winning and he is the primary netminder, then my guess is he stays. The chemistry would be disrupted too much, otherwise.

I chuckled when Bobby Knight was being interviewed by Jeremy Schaap a few years ago and was upset by a question, so he responded "You're nothing like your father."

Have him, Neuvirth, Anderson, and Varlamov. Varlamov's hurt and it looks like Neuvirth has a hold of the starting role now. Need to drop V for someone who's getting more starts and wins. Right now its between Bobrovsky and Johnson for pitt.

Somebody earlier in this thread made the statement that the Flames are the Flyers from last season. Does this mean that the Devils are the Flyers from the season we don't speak of?

I never thought I'd see it.

Give it another month for the Devils. In 2006, we didn't want to believe it was a lost season until December.

Devils fans become more and more delusional. Currently got a guy on the main board that is trying to tell me that Tallinder was signed to be their 7th/8th defenseman, at 3.375 Million per year as their 2nd highest paid defenseman.

That's what I told them. They still have time...unlike the Cowboys.

yup hockey season is far too long ahead still, they can easily still turn it around especially if the teams in the division start slumping mid season... that said It's been helluva fun watching them fall apart, and reading their forum to boot
