Is this one of you in this pic?

On Foxnews.com this morning they have a random picture from a polling place that they do not identify. Just wondering if this is anyone from the boards that appears in this pic....

LOL, I was poking fun at the radio commercials that have been airing about "IF Prop 19 passes, your doctor and nurse can come to work high, leagally . . " just makes me want to

I'm worried that if prop 19 passes my children will become confused and disoriented about the concept of marriage.

I don't even smoke pot and you give me a contact high, Weed Whale.

Figures a Kings fan would show up at the ballot with a jersey on.

And the guy next to him obviously didn't know the answer for the 3rd district judge of some appeals.

I was voting today and one of the guys running for State Assembly is a guy I used to kick the **** out of in high school. I was like man, am I getting that old?

As far as Prop 19 goes, I'm going to start selling Funions and Twinkies out of my trunk.

Wisconsin voted yes... and California voted no.

WTF is this world coming to? Polls have been coming out of Cali forever like 75 yes/25 no and now that people are finally informed properly of the plant and its "dangers" and its effects the proposition bombs.

Sample bias, the people who care enough to vote in the pre-election "polls" are the ones who want it passed...hence the skew. Anyone who is against prop 19 would have just hung up the phone when the pollers called where as the pro prop 19 would have gladly stayed on the phone to voice their opinion. In the end, with everyone voting, the results come out. Didn't expect it to pass, but would have been very interesting if it did.

For some reason I thought it'd pass, and definitely think it'd be interesting if it did especially since it would still be illegal by federal law.

Unfortunately, its the wrong bill at the right time. Poorly drafted and thats why, IIRC, it didnt even get endorsed by NORML. It would have left it to the cities to make the ordinances to enforce, making California a hodgepodge of possibly conflicting laws which would have been a legal nightmare. The next time aorund, and of course there will be next time, they should get it right and it will pass.

In the meantime, just go get yourself a card and be smart about it, and you wont have to call me in a panic some random Tuesday after your grow room is raided by the local L.E.O.'s

Where are these polls you saw? I haven't seen anything like that.

I agree the bill was poorly written, but I don't think that level of sophistication is too likely in our political discourse. It was more like "weed is awesome" versus "Drugs are bad, hmkay?"

The Dems didn't support this bill this time because they want the voters to come out in droves again when they re-introduce the marijuana bill in 2012 to re-elect Obama.

I don't believe re-introducing such a bill in 2012 will help Obama at the voting booth or vice versa. Those who might think that way are likely to get distracted on the way to vote and end up at Ben and Jerry's instead.

Like Diehard said, it was very poorly written.
