Maybe because it's so early, but you have truly boggled my mind.

Living in the States and bought the NHL Center Ice package, which gives me the opportunity to watch the Canuck's games with the opponent's commentators, which I do every so often, as I enjoy hearing how they look at calls or interpret situations.

At any rate, it seems to me that "the twins" are the trademark for sure. Luongo isn't really a second, which probably has to do with the Canuck's puck possession style of play (compare that to the Rangers, where Lundqvist is involved 90% of the time... LOL).

Anyway, based on other team's broadcasts, I'd say it is:

1. The Sedins
2. Kesler
3. Samuelsson/Burrows/Luongo

Samuelsson ahead of Luongo? Wow what a skewed list.

no, no, no.. I meant those three are in the third at any given night... depending on the opponent (naturally, Detroit will talk more about Sammy, whereas Montreal will have all eyes on Luongo, for example)

Gillis is the face of the franchise, which has been made-over in his image. The on ice product or lack thereof is his responsability. The team has been molded to suit his preconceptions, which he has never strayed from.

Luongo
Henrik

Whenever you see stuff from TSN/The Score/Sportsnet and they've got those rotating pictures in the background, it's almost always Luongo.

You really think it should be Gillis??? Given the suitcases under his eyes...

The Sedins are easily the face of this franchise. They were drafted by the Canucks, developed by the Canucks, and now they've become superstars for the Canucks. Simply put, they are true Canucks through and through.

Luongo is 2nd, followed closely by Kesler (who got a big boost league-wide by being the cover boy for NHL 2K11).

I also think Edler will be included in that category soon enough. Once he reaches that upper echelon of D-men, he will be more known league-wide and will likely be considered by Canucks fans/media/brass as the team's new and improved Mattias Ohlund.
