Actually I retract my statement if Filatov is still considered a prospect, I'd take Columbus' guys over ours.

didnt vote becasue i know nothing about other teams prospects

out of curiosity, and 100% not trying to be a dbag, do you guys really watch enough AHL/Juniors/College hockey to really have a grasp on the leagues prospect situation? i'm not doubting, im just impressed

im sure some people are just pulling stuff out of their ass, but some of you guys seem like you really know this stuff...and doing so goes well beyond the scope of a being an average fan...hats off

its quite suspicious considering it seems like a huge waste of time to watch CHL, college, and other foreign league games streaming over the internet. I mean, watching a grainy broadcast of some khl game where you can't even identify any particular player and you cant understand a word isnt how I want to be spending my free time.

As for me, i've been watching the WJC ever since I discovered how incredibly exciting it is back in 2004. I also do a little draft cram session starting in april or may just so I know all the early round talents and have a want/dont want gut feeling for the Rangers. Then I also will watch whenever a game shows up on tv that has a Rangers prospect. Wisconsin and BC were on tv a handful of times last year and ironically played for the ncaa title.

All in all, take everything you read on these boards with a grain of salt.

What amazes me is that Detroit is in the top 10 when they have had lousy draft positions in almost all the past years. They just continue to draft extremely well - wherever they finish. Props to their scouts....

I was pissed when they called Calle Jarnkrok's name at the draft. But I love the pick from Detroit's perspective because they're my 2nd favorite team.

Yeah - he is expected to be a steal according to Håkan Andersson...he made the pick btw.
