I think it's clear what has to be done: Jeff Carter and a 2nd to Toronto for Clarke MacArthur. Hurry, Paul, before his value goes up any further!!!

So, I was watching part of the Laffs-Caps game last night and they said something about TO having the least amount of goals from the center position of any team in the NHL. If they only had someting of real value to give besides Schenn.

I actually like MacArthur. Somewhat irrelevant given the irreverence of your post, but just sayin'.

should be brought up in every thread until he is signed this offseason, imo.

No, but seriously, despite the sarcasm smilie, I'm not being sarcastic. Homer owes the fans one after the agony of this past July 1st.

He has three options that will appease me:
1) Sign Upshall
2) Trade for Umberger... and sign Upshall
3) Retire John Leclair's number... and sign Upshall

There's already one of those. It's called WIP.

As you noted, I just grabbed his name as the unknown in the top 10. I haven't seen a lot of Leaf games, so my non-irreverent (double negative?) opinion is pretty neutral.

Aren't they too busy talking about the 76ers?

Since the evidence that suggests that basketball is SO much more popular than hockey is quite substantial... as long as we don't look at TV ratings or ticket sales and solely base our hypotheses on the racial statistics of Philadelphia.

I swear, these radio stations are blind when it comes to hockey. They mock it with segments like "Hugh on Hockey", barely even know the players on the team (ever hear the midday idiots talk about Bob like he was some completely out of the blue guy that no one expected to ever amount to anything?) and then you have Mike Missanelli's dumb ass bashing hockey and stroking basketball every chance he gets.

Get a ****ing clue. NHL >>> NBA in Philly (especially since the Sixers haven't been relevant in years) and NHL > NBA nationally. Just because ESPN doesn't have highlights of Ovechkin scoring a GWG and would rather shove Lebron James dunking the ball 'with authority!' to score 1/50th of his team's points for the night, doesn't negate this FACT.

As a long-time Gatineau Olympiques' fan, I had the distinct privilege of seeing Claude Giroux's phenomenal development first-hand.
Mark my words, he will someday appear in the upper echelons of the Philadelphia Flyers' all-time career points leaders list.
