Center ice depth.

I was looking at the Center ice position now that they have done most of the cuts and I bet the oilers sign Comrie before the end of teh 1st week of the season.

We can't have our Best offensive player from last year(Smyth) playing out of postion and lose Comrie, Marchant and Carter as well. They will have to get the deal done. I think Comrie flew back to edmonton to rejoin the oil for the start of the the season. My Guess is the numbers will be just what Yorks are.

Then i look at our line up with Comrie and I really like our playoff chances.

Smyth Comrie Hemsky
Isbister York Dvorak
Moreau Reasoner Pisani
Chimera Horcoff Laraque

EX: Torres, Sarno

Geez i can see 3 scoring lines and a solid checking lines.

If they can get Comrie signed the oil will dogfight for 4-5th in the west.

I hope you're right Chayos. I really do. I don't like the fact he hasn't played any pre-season games, but lets not be greedy. Just having him back would be a big boost. I have voiced this before that I believe our offence is still suspect and until they score a bunch without Comrie, I will still feel that way.

If salo has a good year, yes

If he struggles, á la last year, it'll be the usual playoff rally.
