What's your bet on how we start the season?

I have a feeling we'll lose the first few games while we get used to our new team. LA will feel all high and mighty. We'll have a rough start but turn it around by November.

What do you think?

I bet if we start 2-0 people will be planning the parade.

If we start 0-2, people will screaming that the Sedin's were a fluke, the new acquisitions suck and we're going to miss the playoffs.

Don't forget Lui's annual Otober(goal)fest.

I'm not expecting anything great to start the season to be honest. Without Burrows and Salo, plus everyone adjusting.... it's going to be a bit tough.

I do think we'll at least hover over ppg.

Followed by him picking it up just in time for his annual November injury.

Something around .500 I'm guessing. Lui's slow October's and no Burrows.

House-a-fire hockey. Some big wins early. Followed by some losses to a couple of bottom feeders.

Leading to delusions and conspiracies.

So, business as usual.

I think we'll lose the opener because they boys will be too jacked up at home. After that we settle in and never look back.

LA - L
Florida - W
Anaheim - W
LA - W
Carolina - W
Minnesota - L (Schneider's first start)
Chicago - W
Minnesota - W
Colorado - W

7-2-0

Canucks will run away with the presidents trophy. Only Detroit is any competition.

It will be very hard to score evenstrength against this lineup......even with Salo and Burrows out of the lineup.Pk will determine how well we dominate the oppostion.....if we are around 84%...it would not surprise me if we go on a 10-0 start.

As we know with parity in the league..you have to come hard everynight....otherwise reguardless of how good your team is you can easily lose....I think everynight this hungry team will be the "expected" team to win.

I also think cuts will happen a little quicker or more of our roster players will be playing in the last few preseason games(with rookies subed in and out with other rookies{guys fighting for jobs}).....I expect players will get the prospect camp to make their impressions and then they best be shining each chance they get in the main camp...As MG and AV will be wanting this team to get off to a rocket of a start.

5-5 as the team takes time to gel.

6-3-1 over the first ten. I mean 82-0 or bust!

The season will start with Luongo letting in the first shot... because he always does... then the Canucks will rally and win their opener against the Kings 5-1. I will get drunk and buy a new jersey.

As for the first month.. it doesn't look like there should be too many "tough" games on the schedule... and I don't think it will take as long to get going on the road as it did last year. However with the new faces, it could take a little bit for the team to gel... and then there is Luongo's traditional slow start.

My heart says 10-0, but my gut says 7-3 to start the season.

I think we'll go 5 - 3 - 2 to start the season.

LA - OTL
Florida - W
Anaheim - W
LA - L
Carolina - W
Minnesota - OTL
Chicago - L
Minnesota - W
Colorado - L
New Jersey - W

Very solid start. After 12 games we are on pace for 109 points despite the amount of injuries we've had this early.
