He is probably a canucks fan.

But these proposals are just terrible.
Edmonton and Nashville would even think about them.

In all reality this is a ridiculous attempt to swap Samuelsson for a legit 1st line player as he's off to a slow start. IF we decide to acquire another top 6 forward, it will be close to the deadline and strictly as a rental..

Richards, Arnott, Gagne.. Something like that..

Not sure if we could fit Richards, but the other two are possibilities.

Horrendous trade proposal, Canucks aint giving up that many 1st rounders, especially after MG has traded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks in 2010.

Such a clueless fan, If you combined Hemsky and Smid cap hit they'd barely make more the Ryan Kesler.
Plus, Edmonton has no need to trade Hemsky. Don't know why people keep making proposals about him.

Both proposals are horrible, but the first one is nothing short of hilarious.

Vancouver's first rounders suck because they finish high up in the standings.

We've had tons of guys like Hansin in the past. Skate like the wind and don't produce squat.

Bieksa is UFA next year AND he's an injury prone player... so we might not even be able to trade him before the deadline.

Lastly... a few prospects, which wouldn't make our top 5 not counting players on the Oilers squad right now.

Congrats!

You've written worst proposal of the week!

I can't even imagine how you'd have to change this proposal to make it work, since Vancouver and Edmonton play each other so often, it's safe to say there's a 99.9999% chance that they'd never trade such significant players back and forth.

Hansen isn't super extraordinary, but he shows great instincts offensively, in addition to his skill as a shutdown/third line role. He is responsible for clearing space for Torres and Malhotra, who are behind solely the Sedins for points. He isn't what Edmonton needs, IMO, but I don't feel he needs to be minimalized, he may be the most valuable part of the OPs trade going back (no great effort needed there though).

As for Bieksa, I'm happy with him, we may need to trade him for cap space, not a star forward. Hemsky is injury prone, Bieksa has had two awful accidents, neither of which I'd say make him injury prone. I don't want to turn this into a pissing contest, because I know Bieksa isn't worth Hemsky/Smid, but of all the criticisms, injury prone isn't one anyone should have for Bieksa. In the same vein, Vokoun would be injury prone for Ballard accidentally almost decapitating him, or Zednik for getting a skate to the throat.

Whew...so what about that OP eh?

Yeah.. how bout them Yankees?

In other news, milk chocolate contains sugar!

I'm trying to imagine if Edmonton did trade Hemsky and Smid to Vancouver.

I think Edmonton would want something based around Hamius. Maybe Hamuis + First rounder plus prospect or Hamuis + Hodgson. It's hard to gauge.

I wouldn't exactly call Hemsky injury prone... but yeah he misses a few games every year. Not like he's Gaborik or Smyth, though. Not even close. I'd make the Canucks look pretty sick.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Kesler-Hemsky
Torres-Malholtra-Samuelson

I think the second PP unit might be a little weak, but other than that, this team would probably shock us all with a second round playoff exit.
