ok so if cally is out, what does everyone think about putting frolov in his spot in hopes of getting him going? it would mean switching him to the right side but you'd be putting him with the 2 best forwards instead of marginal 3rd/4th liners. maybe he can pick up some of dubi's awesomeness in the process LOL

Brodeur will not play either: http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/fireice/

Brodeur took the ice for the morning skate thinking he was going to play tonight, but said he felt “a sharp pain” in his bruised right elbow when he tried to swat away a puck.

“I thought I was going to be able to play,” Brodeur said. “When I first went on the ice, I really thought I was going to be OK and it’s a couple of little things I have to do with my stick. If it was the glove side, I would have been OK to play, but because I have to hold my stick, it’s a little too painful.”

---------------

Didn't he miss three months with a similar injury, two seasons ago?

It was mentioned on Twitter that Frolov was playing with the top line, so I'm assuming he's taking Cally's spot.

I would think the answer would be obvious; we'll play 7 defensemen.

So Hank starts tonight. I'd rather have him fresh against the beastly Blues on sunday... Oh well.

Having Biron playing against them bothers me quite a bit.

Any word on the seriousness on Callahan's injury? Got to work and have some stuff to do.

Thanks in advance.

You put your best players, and in this case, Lundqvist against Eastern Conference, and more importantly, divisional games.

While beating the Blues on Sunday would be nice, beating the Devils is FAR more important in terms of playoffs/points.

Oh, sweet! Frolov taking Callahan's spot on that line.

Maybe the wraparound will find Dubinsky in front of the net... or something.

Yeah, you got a point there Frozen. I guess I'm just worried about a possible blowout on sunday... The Blues are scary good this season.

That can actually be really dangerous....rebounds from the wrap around with Dubi muscling it into the net from the front .

With White being waived, why don't they try Gilroy on wing on the 3rd line

very very curious to see this team w/o callahan

IMO he's been the one setting the pace in every game they've looked good in thus far

the team really responds to his effort and energy

With Cally out, I say give an "A" to Boyle or Dubinsky!

Neither do I. I'll still be happy if everybody gives 100% effort though. LGR!

So since White was waived he can't play? Or is he doing the Aaron Voros special where he gets waived but he isn't really waived?

If he isn't in guess that means Gilroy at forward? This management is a joke CALL SOMEONE UP instead of throwing broken pieces into a machine. That won't make it work.

Dubi - AA - Frolov
Avery - Boyle - Fedetenko
Grachev - EC - Prust
Boogaard - Stepan - Gilroy

That is horrendous...horrendous.

I don't know why we're not calling anyone up.

Hedberg seems to always kill the Rangers, while Brodeur can hardly ever win against Lundqvist, so I'm not sure whether that really weakens the Devils.
