Nice to see Darche proving me and his small fan base right. I love the role he plays. I also love his character. Him and Halpern are the best thing that's happen to Pouliot. Pouliot seems to be working harder(though i thought he came to camp ready to prove something) and he just has a better overall attitude.
Also, good for Halpern. People complained so much about these three guys. Why did we sign Darche so early? Why did we sign Halpern and not just let White play? Why did we trade Latendresse for Pouliot? Nice to see them shutting people up for a little while.
And I'll suggest something here, send Eller to Hamilton.
He's useless on a 4th line and he seems to be regressing. I thought he looked better in his first few games than he does now...
I just think he needs ice time to develop. Don't think playing with grinders and sitting whole periods is any good for him.

Agreed. Eller's doing nothing for us right now, and this is hurting his development if anything, imo. Send him to Hamilton.
Gomez is currently the most expensive passenger in all of pro sports. I hope that this doesn't keep up for much longer. Otherwise, maybe Eller isn't the only guy who should be sent to Hamilton...

But I say try him with Pleks and Camm first and see after.. The one I would call up is Palushaj, the guy had a soiid training camp, he is producing at a 2 pts per game pace and I think he could help alot on the top 6..

Now that Gionta isn't scoring, everyone can see how one dimensional and dependent Gomez is. Last season, people were blinded by the fact he managed to rack up a couple of assists because of Gionta. Since that Gionta can't seem to bury any right now, lo and behold Gomez becomes useless.

That Halpern line is hot right now but I'm not too sure about it having the same success going up against other teams top defenders.

Man, it's like we're the same person.
I think Gomez and Kostitsyn fit like a glove. You can tell that Gomez likes to carry the puck and dish it off everytime(obvious I know). You can also tell that Kostitsyn doesn't like carrying the puck, he just wants to get into position.
For the entire four years he's been on the team, I don't think Kostitsyn's talents have ever been exploited. He's always been the complimentary winger.
Kostitsyn needs a guy like Gomez to carry the puck and just look for him constantly to get his shot off. I guarentee they will fit like a glove. Just look at how many times a game Gomez gets a pass of to Gionta. Imagine Andrei in that situation who is just a much more dynamic player than Gionta.
Since we acquired Gomez, I've been dying for him to play with Andrei. They clearly have some chemistry. Their games compliment each other so well. Andrei is a pure give and go, positional sniper. He has yet to have played with players who play a role complimentary to that. Gomez likes to carry the puck and dish off a pass immediately once the zone is gained. I really think it can work.

But god Gomez SUCK!! This guy is the second worst post lock-out signing after Redden, I just cant see him spending the next 4 years here, will be bought out at some point.. He has to step up big time, stop cheating on the forecheck, stop trying to be fancy, has to go to the net, has to get his nose dirty and accept to be hit to make a play, has to take better decisions with the puck, .. ALOT of work to do for our 8 millions guy.. Once Leblanc is ready for the NHL, Gomez is gone book it..
