Aren't they too busy talking about the 76ers?
Since the evidence that suggests that basketball is SO much more popular than hockey is quite substantial... as long as we don't look at TV ratings or ticket sales and solely base our hypotheses on the racial statistics of Philadelphia.
I swear, these radio stations are blind when it comes to hockey. They mock it with segments like "Hugh on Hockey", barely even know the players on the team (ever hear the midday idiots talk about Bob like he was some completely out of the blue guy that no one expected to ever amount to anything?) and then you have Mike Missanelli's dumb ass bashing hockey and stroking basketball every chance he gets.
Get a ****ing clue. NHL >>> NBA in Philly (especially since the Sixers haven't been relevant in years) and NHL > NBA nationally. Just because ESPN doesn't have highlights of Ovechkin scoring a GWG and would rather shove Lebron James dunking the ball 'with authority!' to score 1/50th of his team's points for the night, doesn't negate this FACT.
