X-rays taken of defenseman Willie Mitchell, who was injured during the Kings' 4-1 victory over Nashville on Saturday night, showed no break or fracture, but he will undergo an MRI on Monday, a team spokesman said.
Did anyone catch the play it was on? And if they're looking for a break, my guess is he caught a shot in the hand or arm. Any other possibilities?
Over at LGK they're saying Hornqvist grabbed Mitchell's stick and pulled it which caused his armed to move awkwardly. From reading that, it sounds like it could be a dislocation. Hopefully not, though...

Stuff like that was mentioned in the GDT here too, and how Mitchell has had dislocated shoulder issues in the past that usually didn't keep him out too long, but as they mention doing X-rays searching for a bone break in the above link, I'd imagine it's 'something' lower in his arm this time. Hopefully the MRI confirms the no bone break/fracture read from x-rays, as sometimes x-rays do miss hairline fractures. If it's not a break you'd have to figure he injured a muscle or conective tissue in the arm I guess ? But I'm not a doctor, I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
Don't know if anyone went to Tip-A-King and can confirm with this, but a comment post on Hammonds Blog

take it as rumor at the moment until it can be backed up.
When it comes to Injuries, he's been pretty accurate.
Except he was wrong on the extent of the injuries to Schenn and Westgarth during the summer. On the other hand, looks like he called the injury for Poni though...
