I'm just glad it wasn't his head. I didn't see what happened so I was crossing my fingers hoping it wasn't his head. Hopefully he isn't out too long.

If it's a not a break or fracture, worst case it's a deep bruise.

Unfortunate, but thankfully Drew is back. We have the depth to get past this, hopefully he won't be out longer than a month.

If theirs no break, how can you figure it will be any where near a month?

Did anyone catch the play it was on? And if they're looking for a break, my guess is he caught a shot in the hand or arm. Any other possibilities?

I'm not, but sprains can sometimes be worse than breaks. One month was my worst case scenario.. I hope he is back for the Kings next game.

Over at LGK they're saying Hornqvist grabbed Mitchell's stick and pulled it which caused his armed to move awkwardly. From reading that, it sounds like it could be a dislocation. Hopefully not, though...

Stuff like that was mentioned in the GDT here too, and how Mitchell has had dislocated shoulder issues in the past that usually didn't keep him out too long, but as they mention doing X-rays searching for a bone break in the above link, I'd imagine it's 'something' lower in his arm this time. Hopefully the MRI confirms the no bone break/fracture read from x-rays, as sometimes x-rays do miss hairline fractures. If it's not a break you'd have to figure he injured a muscle or conective tissue in the arm I guess ? But I'm not a doctor, I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Don't know if anyone went to Tip-A-King and can confirm with this, but a comment post on Hammonds Blog

take it as rumor at the moment until it can be backed up.

Not a dislocation, just a sprained wrist. May miss a few games. MRI to check for tendon damage.

He's been a solid player this year. I guess someone will get called up in the meantime. Bummer but it will give one of the rooks some experience.

Except he was wrong on the extent of the injuries to Schenn and Westgarth during the summer. On the other hand, looks like he called the injury for Poni though...

With Greener back and Muzzin being reliable early it's not a huge blow short term.

I was at the game but did not see the play, only that he left the bench then they made an announcement regarding the fact that he would not return.

Murray said immediately afterward that he didn't have a good vantage point to see the play and only said that it happened during the second period.

So now what happens...the extra forwards are Schenn and Lewis....Who moves alongside Handzus-Simmonds...? Richardson?

That would make a 4th line now of Westgarth-Schenn/Lewis-Clifford.
