I don't think Edm should take a stab at him. We have no room for him and even though we have cap space it doesn't mean you should spend 2.5mil for a 4th liner.

He is a serviceable player. I can't see him not getting picked up. Maybe a team like Buffalo or Florida to have a "shake up" so to speak. I know White isn't going to save a franchise or a season, but maybe adding him would provide a spark to a struggling team.

I'd hate to see this happen to White. Always underrated, because of his size and style of play, but always serviceable.

no one is taking the guy off our hands. He will finally be sent to the minors once Gaborik is ready which is likely Sunday.

Then Drury and Prospal come back and the kids Stepan and Grachev are likely down do develop better

he's really really good. i think all of your teams should claim him

he won't be sent down, he was waived to start the season and wasn't sent down...if he clears he'll stay in ny but likely get sent down when gaborik returns.

he should have been in the ahl from day 1 but sather apparently hates saving cap space. he'd rather have $2-3 mil sitting in the press box burning a hole in the cap to screw him on a deal later in the year then to just get rid of a waste of space that makes too much and have the cap space available.

I doubt those teams will want to pick up a $2.6M 3rd line center who just got waived.

At $800k he'd definitely be picked up.

Likely gets claimed at the deadline when some team misses out on the forward they were hoping for. Is overpaid by a million or so, but he's definitely an NHL forward.

Not really. Once Gaborik, Prospal, and Drury are back, I think it's likely White rides the bus to Hartford, never to be heard from (this season) again.

White cleared waivers, but was not assigned to Hartford. Grachev was sent back to the AHL.
