Bill Guerin to the rescue?

While Marinaro says there are no discussions between both camps, would you like to see him in our lineup?

Yes!

I would like him here, he had 21 goals last season (mind you it was with Crosby/Malkin) and he's a big body that can and will stand in front of the net during the PP.

He's a RW, so...

Kostitsyn - Gomez - Gionta
Cammalleri - Plekanec - Guerin
Pouliot - Eller - Lapierre
Darche - Halpern - Moen

Markov - Gorges
Hamrlik - Subban
Gill - Spacek

Price
Auld

At this point in his career Guerin doesn't really rescue anything.

He's probably still good for 20-25 goals though so i guess that he may help a bit but i'd look at other options first if there are any.

Dont know really.
Pens fans seemed to be pretty happy he was gone.
And I think we have other options yet to be fully explored, a little more patience with Pouliot, Eller and so on.

Let the kids play!

Guerin haha... wow.

The habs are still #3 in the conference atm, and still a playoffs team. Not sure why people are going crazy. Things aren't so bad, yet.

And even if they were, Guerin wouldn't be the answer.

And even if he was, we might as well just ****ing throw the towel because when Guerin is your savior, you just know that your team is pathetic and that you need to rethink the way you're doing things.

I liked Guerin 5 years ago. He's too slow to keep up with any of our top 3 lines. He's definitely way to slow to keep up with Gomez and Gio who use their speed to score. Guerin would be a 3rd defensmen on those rush plays up the ice. He's also missed camp and would asked to play in a whole new system. I say pass. We have enough promising prospects to call up before walking down that path IMO.

YES I think he still has some gas in the old tank. We need more quality shots from the slot during PP`s and a body in front of the net which he provides. My vote is YES.

No, he is on the wrong side of 30, and can't possibly offer us anything that our players in Hamilton can't.

I'd much rather see a trade happen considering O'Byrne is perma-scratched.

I heard they made some Habs gloves for Shanahan. Seriously I'd rather take a look at Nolan, but I wouldn't be totally opposed to Guerin., (or McGrattan)

He definitely can't keep up with our system which is based on a fast counter attack. He's just not a good fit with our system.

If Martin is going to keep being a ****** and playing guys like Moen, Lapierre and Pyatt in the top 6 then I wouldn't be against signing him. He sucks but he can't be any worse than the guys who have been put on the 2nd line. First choice would be to call up Desharnais, Palushaj or Pacioretty and try one in the top 6 but since Martin isn't a fan of young forwards not named Pyatt I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening.

If Eller isn't going to get put on a top 2 line for more than 2 periods I'd rather he just go and play in the AHL than stay here not because I don't think he's ready but I'd rather him have a consistent line and position and not get benched every time he makes a mistake.

He isn't the same player as 10 years ago and still not a bad player but he did play with Crosby and Malkin the last couple of seasons.I wouldn't mind if Boyd gets claimed to give that money to Guerin if he is willing to take on that little to play and give him a shot however with that said I still don't think he is the solution going forward. For this season it might be worth taking a risk but we gotta find a top 6 player in the off season

Ever since Guerin slashed a teammate to the neck during a practice, I thought he was the biggest ******. I'd rather we try calling back everyone playing on the Dogs then giving this bozo a contract.

Agreed, we should be debating about acquiring rising stars Dany Markov and Jay Bouwmeester instead
