Hahahahahahaha Chocolate Rocket? Jesus!

I say Carey bails us out of this one and we win in the shootout 4-3 habs.

This is actually the first game all year where I am thinking "Damn... this is going to be a real tough one". I usually have the mind set that I KNOW the Habs can beat any team they are facing and so I'm going to assume that they WILL beat them. This time I gotta say I'm nervous. The Sedins are terrifying Swedish Gingerbread monsters, and Luongo in Montreal is always tough.

I still predicted a win in the prediction game cause I just can't avoid it with my rose coloured glasses, but this is one game that I think if we lost I would not be shocked or down on the team. Vancouver are a really impressive team. But I'm still very hopeful and I know that we can win, so I'll be rooting for the Habs in full force!

Please beat them for me

The Canucks are not nearly as fearsome on the road.

Not overly optimistic about this game, but I don't think the Habs have been playing that badly lately. If we can get a few bounces and start scoring some goals, along with a good game from Price, I think the Habs can at least keep up tonight.

EDIT: Looking at their PP numbers, looks like we're gonna have to be disciplined too. Especially since, chances are, we won't be doing a whole lot of damage on our PP either.

We usually do surprisingly well against the Canucks at home...it's when we play in GM Place that we get bent over hardcore.

That said, I'm not hoping for much tonight but we'll see...

5-1 Canucks

Luongo will elevate his game, playing in his hometown... hopefully.
There's no way this is actually happening.

I have a feeling Price is really gonna play well tonight, but we need a big night from the special teams. The Canucks are fast and I don't see us being to do much on even-strength.

This team will rise to the occasion as it always does against the best competition. It's the middle of the pack teams it struggles with.

Habs 2-1.

Amazing GDT.

Lines were shuffled around / back this morning at practice:

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Eller
Kostitsyn - Gomez - Gionta
Pouliot - Halpern - Darche
Moen - Pyatt - Lapierre

Looks like Max may not get a shot on the 2nd line after all.

I like this a whole lot better than what JM's been doing for the passed 2 weeks. Eller on the top line is great IMO.

As I said in another thread, I'm scared it could be ugly tonight. The Habs has only faced 3 good teams so far this season (Tampa, Pittsburgh & New Jersey) and 2 of them are having bad starts. So the Canucks are really the first top team that we are playing against this season.

Recently, the offense is barely alive and we found a way to lose against Florida, Columbus and Ottawa. It could be the game that comes as a wake up call, and a 6-0 Canucks win wouldn't be surprising at all. Especially since another French Canadian goaler will be in the net (Luongo). I don't know for you, but I don't feel good at all about this one.

BUT : Carey Price could still the game. And last year, we were playing better against the best teams, so anything can happen.

Everytime we think they will lose, they don't. We win tonight.

In recent years the habs have been going David on all the Goliath like teams... I don't know why, but when the Panthers (or the like) show up it's like everyone's wacking off on the bench.

Not bad.

But I like better:

Eller-Plekanec-AK
Cammy-Gomez-Gio

Those would be some pretty good lines, assuming that they stay like that.

Martin's as bad as Carbo with line changing, as soon as Eller falls down he's going to send him down to the 4th line and he'll end up with 4 minutes of ice time and slow-ass Moen is going up to the first line where he can't keep up.

It's so frustrating watching the lines move around, we never get any consistancy.

Our PP will finally wake up tonight and Markov will have a multiple point night. We win it by 1 goal. Book it.
