Good game hab fans.

Solid simple game plan employed by you guys tonight. You shut down a team which had been really rolling offensively.

I'm actually happy to see the BC boy, price play well, after getting brutalized in Vancouver last year in front of family and friends.

The Positives..

The Habs PK was awesome tonight..
The D played a very solid game..
Price was simply stellar and deserved the SO with some amazing saves at the end..
Finally a PP goal although the PP still looks helplessly lost out there for the most part..

The negatives..

The lack of goals from the Habs offensive forwards is still a concern..
Chris Lee... Well just because he's Chris Lee..

Are you suggesting that he should get a lifetime free pass merely because he beat the Canucks lol

it was one game, he's hardly done anything worthy of being given a lifetime free pass.

The Habs really enjoy shutting down opposing star players don't they? They're starting to become known for that now.

I benched his shutout too man... But what can you do? Gotta play the odds most of the time.. No way I thought we'd walk out with a victory tonight, nevermind a shutout. Solid game
I had 3 tough goalie matchups tonight: Price vs. VAN, Lundqvist vs. WSH and Hiller vs. SJ...benched Lundqvist (down 4-3 with 2 mins to go), looking pretty good for me so far

Tremendous game by Price, and he played the calm game that he had shown glimpses of when he first joined the Canadiens. He allowed very few rebounds, and made himself large on a few in-tight opportunities.

The only disappointment tonight was the benching of Lars Eller. He showed some brilliance in the first period, then turned over the puck, and was stapled to the bench for the rest of the game. Obviously, Eller is still raw, has much to learn, but I wonder how long he stays in Montreal this season if Martin does not have the faith to put him on the ice in the third period.

Awful game.
The best part is that if the Canucks won, something worse would have been said. Canucks fans, sore losers, worse winners.

God I wish we could round up the Price bashers from this offseason and have them eat their collective crow.

Loved it. Smothered them in the 3rd and ended up getting that big insurance goal.

Gomez won 75% of his faceoffs tonight.

Maybe I'm solo here, but Eller needs to dominate somewhere. He shows flashes but damn, I wish the guy would get some minutes...even a small stint in hamilton for kicks.

Good game guys...Canucks couldn't get anything going through the neutral zone and Price was good when he needed to be. Best of luck this year...Go Price Go.

Also, great picture.
I got the save percentage up to .920 (11th in the league), GAA down to 2.29 (8th in the league) and 8 wins (1st in the league).

Impressive across the board from Carey.

When I heard the "Carey" chants as he came out for the 1st star, I could only wonder how many of those same people were booing him in the first game of the preseason.

I see jaybee showed up and even though he wants to, he still cannot be positive. C'mon we just won 2- 0 why is there something to complain about, never mind three things. Try being a fan instead of an critic.

It may have to come to that. The Canadiens are playing tight games this year, and Martin is not showing much faith in having Eller on the ice during the difficult moments. He continues to show incredible skill on the puck when he gets the chance, the problem being that he does make turnovers, he is not developed defensively, and Martin does not trust him yet. It isn't the best way to develop this kid IMO, and I think he would benefit from going to Hamilton.

I think he just needs to play, and not get benched for no reason after playing good.

Same here. Validates what I've been saying about the fans in the Bell Center, you just have to win to get them on your side. Now the fans outside that don't know what they're talking about... I ignore them.
