Played good against one of the tougher teams in the league. A few calls go the other way and we win this one. Things are going to be MUCH better with Gaborik back.

We went from a team lacking talent that played defense-first to a team lacking talent that plays offense-first. Result? Mostly the same.

I think the Devils play better at home without a win than we do.

We played a very good game sans the last few minutes. Sadly, things just didnt go our way. I'm mad at the loss, but happy with the team (taking away the last 2-3 minutes).

At least we hung in there with the best team in the league. At least.

Good luck with that!

Happy with the effort. Thought they did enough to win the game or at least go to OT. For those ragging on Stepan and MZA, this is what yuu have to put up with when playing the kids

How does this team manage to stink so much at home?

Thrashed some **** around in my room right after. I'm calm now.

I've accepted the fact that all my teams suck again for this year.

I dont know what is going on with Dubi but since he hit 10 goals he has decided to play at 40% of his capability. I know dubinsky has been like this for awhile with good and bad games, but he got a problem as he is now the 1st line player, we are looking to produce and create chances and having performances like the last 2 games is not acceptable. Anyone have any ideas as to why hes decided to play at 0 intensity, holding 2 hands on the stick just gliding around like a scarecrow with no purpose other than hurting the team like the 1st goasl Wash scored were he lost all coverage in another world. Its sad that we have to rely on a guy like Dubinsky but we do and it time he fix his mental state or whatevers going on and play hard for 82 games.

It was a decent game, really. We outplayed them, but they won with their vastly superior talent. We're limited in terms of talent...gritty as hell, but limited.

With Gaborik, Prospal and Drury out, this is the reality we're going to have to live with.

just disappointed that the goals were from mistakes. u have a lead just make a simple play. cover the front of the net. dont make passes that put the guy ur passing to in a difficult spot.

An entertaining game despite the loss. The effort was certainly there.

We are really hurting for some talent right now. Faceoff and PP woes continue. Dubi should just take all faceoffs instead of Anisimov... Dubi was at 69% tonight and Arty was a measly 20%.

Not only is the absence of Gabby killing us on the PP, but DZ's sophomore slump isn't helping matters either. He rarely hits the net and can't enter the zone effectively. Staal is far more adept at gaining the zone than DZ.

Screw moral victories.

I have enough of those year after year with the 49ers.

MDZ and Rosie blew the last goal but let's all call a spade a spade lundqvist out played again by a rookie. he made the saves when it counted and hank didn't the one soft goal a game kills vs top end teams. this is what sucks they play a great team with a depleted roster hang in all game and then wham a mistake and they lose. rosie lost the puck 2 times and why did mdz make such a horrible back pass, Rangers really unlucky tonight

Dubinsky was one of the better players on the ice tonight.

We lost because our defense isnt very good, and we weren't nearly as talented as the opposition.

7-7-1.

I've felt worse.

Reinforcements coming.

There is a lot I could say about this game, but it was far too ridiculous for me to even comprehend. Think i'm gonna let it lie and forget it ever happened.

With the bogus tripping call in the 1st period that led to a PPG for the Caps and the no goal on Fedetenko, the refs ****ed this one up.

The 1st line was not on its game. They didnt create quality chances. Dubi had chances but from really bad angles. They just didnt look like they usually do. They didnt capitalize on possible chances.

Fedotenko had a great chance to tie that game and failed big time.

I cant blame rosie for that play behind the net because del zotto gave him a hospital pass imo. Or at least there was pressure coming quickly. Rosie is good enough to make that play but it almost seems like he didnt know the pressure was coming. Looks like miscommunication.

Henrik had a bad game. The goal to erskine was awful. Its been his biggest problem, he goes down way too soon. He is always playing on his knees. It almost seems though as he just assumes its going to be a low shot. Even on the 4th goal he was down on his knees early. it wasnt like it was a hard shot, it pretty much fluttered past him. I'm not saying it was an easy play, but he is always going down too early exposing the top shelf which he is not good at defending.

This was a game they should have had. They should have had at least one point. They came away with none. This is the type of game that at the end of the season it eats at you because it could be the difference between playing in the postseason and not.
