Versus adding 4x/week Hockey show

wyshynski
Breaking News: Starting Nov. 15, 1 hour nightly (Mon-Thurs.) hockey show (11-midnight EST) on VERSUS called NHL Overtime. Even when no games
Sources tell us VERSUS NHL Overtime show much different than Hockey Central; more hot-stove debate, in-depth discussion. DIFFERENT ANALYSTS.

Cautiously optimistic. Versus' original programming, especially hockey related has been absolute trainwreck.

that article yesterday on Yahoo said ESPN might make a big push to get the NHL back. VS is trying to protect its deal. Win-win for fans!

Cannot disagree more.

When VS shows hockey, they are dedicated to hockey, something ESPN was never able to do.

And ESPN will NEVER dedicate programming to hockey - they have too much going on.

The VS crews do just as good a job on hockey that ESPN did, maybe better. Now they're adding a nightly hockey show - that's just more good news for fans.

That and the loss of all of the WEC programming that they run has kind of forced their hand in creating some new content and considering that they're trying to woo the NHL back, why not give an NHL nightly show a shot. People have been clamoring for one since NHL 2Night went **** up, so I'm happy to see it, especially being so used to seeing three or four nightly hockey shows back home...

theyre terrrible with their away from the game presentation and analysis compared to the canadian networks. and thats sad compared to sportsnets horrible presentation. haha

ESPN blew. it was just good they had a lot of it centralized in one spot.

dont mind versus in-game though. its solid. but pre/post and in between periods is horrendous. the show has to be better than that stuff to last.
