Do the flyers even have bandwagoner fans? Don't most bandwagoner fans usually pick teams that win? Thats part of the reason why I believe philly has the best sports fans, because we may have the least amount of bandwagon fans.
*raises hand*
I started following the Flyers at the beginning of the next season after the disaster season.

That was the joke. Woof started liking the orange and black in '74...one of the few times we've actually won something (I was still 13 years away from being born).

Dont worry i was still 23 years away from being born then. haha
lol, you're in for some heartache! Sheitttt last year was nothing. Should've picked the wings .........
Hahah! They're the last to pick! I've always had a soft spot for ANA in my heart and DET is sort of a rival for 'em. Still the main reason being the fact I love tough 'n rough stuff on ice - Redwings brings none of that! I could very well be cheering for some random team right now if Riley never fought his way up all the way from ECHL to NHL.
Ive been on the board since I was 16. Been a mod since I was 18 or something.
Yea I think when I first joined though, there was an age thread and I remember being astonished that I was the youngest here (at the time, I think I was just 16 turning 17).
Im a junior in college and just turned 20 in September. Im a youngin.

On another note, am I the last person to realise HF has a mobile site? I've always used the main site while on my BlackBerry and it takes forever or longer to get past all the pictures and avatars. Today I discovered it! Duh!
Oh yeah, go Flyers!
Coincidentally, I found the mobile site last night. So, if you were last, I was next to last. Doh!
When you think of “regular” offenders – guys on the Flyers who take a lot of penalties, you probably think Scott Hartnell is the worst offender.
He’s not.
Actually, Jeff Carter -- yeah, Carter -- leads the Flyers with seven stick infractions, followed by Danny Briere (six) and then Braydon Coburn (five).
Hartnell? He has two.
“I can’t catch a … break this year,” Carter said. “I don’t think I had this many penalty minutes all year last season. I just got to be careful with my stick. Make sure it is not dangling around and catching guys in useless situations.
“I have to be wiser with my stick. We have had a lot of stick calls. We know. It’s something we have to work on.”
A rule change came into effect a few seasons ago where a player getting four minutes for a double high-sticking is counted as one penalty in the “official” book-keeping stats by the league.
In the Flyers' overtime loss at Washington on Sunday, Chris Pronger got a double minor for high-sticking. It appears incorrectly in the final box score as two penalties. According to Elias Spots Bureau, that has since been changed at the league’s book-keeping level to a single four minute penalty for high-sticking.
We checked the revised game sheet and sure enough, it was changed to a single, four-minute high-stick.
Interestingly, Briere feels a need to use his stick once in a while.
“I agree that its one thing we have to improve, myself included,” Briere said. “It’s something I want to make a better effort to avoid. Especially, after that suspension.
“But at the same time, I feel at times that [stick] is what has kept other players honest, too. If they take advantage, I will have to pay a price. But I understand there is a fine line where you also have to be in control of your stick. There are good times and bad times. I think this season, we have taken way too many in that department."

I am old enough to be your mother, LOL! I was almost 12 when I switched over to the Flyers!
It always amazes me how many of you weren't even born when the Broad Street bullies were around! Oh how much you missed!
