He was using them to work on his method acting and how to ask Pamela Anderson on a date.

Aaron Asham (I loved the guy, never did anything to hurt the team)... aparently got the shaft and was pretty pissed about it after being sent to Pittsburgh.

He went to Pittsburgh of his own volition. True, he was not re-signed here in Philly, but as an unrestricted free agent his signing in Pittsburgh was his own choice.

Wasn't Prospal pretty butt-hurt about getting traded to Philly from TB?

What the hell, Vinny. Not like there aren't tanning beds in Philly.

He likes the golf. You can't play it here in the winter.

I don't know that he was hurt by it. He ended up signing right back in Tampa that summer.

Sean Burke mentioned being traded to and traded away from Philly were both amazing days for him.

Always hated that guy. Average goaltender but a very effective wife beater. I will always hate those kinds of guys. Yeah - Bobby Cox is a hero (who just happens to enjoy kicking the crap out of his wife)

Didnt Sean Burke say his 2 happiest days of his career were coming to Philadelphia and leaving Philadelphia? Or was that someone else

Sean Burke said something to the effect 'the best day in my career was being traded to the Flyers. The second best was leaving." So, while he may have liked the organization, he probably couldn't wait to leave, the way he was being treated by the fans. I think Ricci had a similar experience when he came to Philly.

EDIT: Forgot to take a number. Head straight to the back of the line.

He could also be the only Flyer whose wife was arrested.

Daigle was a HUGE draft bust. What an awful #1 Overall pick who some say didn't even enjoy playing the game.

Drafted #2 that year is a guy some of you might be familiar with:

Christopher Robert Pronger

Oh York makes me LOL. What an ass.

I generally think this organization treats it's players with respect and the organization as a whole has a good group of guys in charge. The organization is involved with all kinds of charity work. The only thing a player could hate about the Flyers would be Flyers fans

The sad part is that statement is true.

There was an interview a couple years ago where Daigle admitted that he only played the game because of his father. Immense talent and no desire to play; such a shame.

The sad part is that statement is true.
That some players publicly criticize an organization after being released or traded can be complimentary. A player could have been situated in the community and perhaps was upset about leaving that comfort zone. Peter Zezel didn't criticize but he cried.

When Holmgren was traded by Bob McCammon (coach/GM), he was upset because he found out over the radio driving home after being scratched from a home game. McCammon didn't tell Holmgren directly and that failure in diplomacy caused much consternation with personnel. Though he did apologize, I doubt the wounds were fully healed with some key people.

Another player to mention is Fred Arthur who refused to be demoted and opted to pursue a medical career instead. He didn't think playing minor league hockey was worth a risk to his future in the medical profession, which he did eventually join.

Clarke's exact quote about Daigle was "a spoiled little girl" after he refused to be traded to Edmonton.

Would Roman Cechmanek go on this list? If I remember correctly, he was not a happy with the media and fans.

McCrimmon wasn't happy with the Flyers..mostly Clarke if I recall correctly because Clarke didn't want to give him a raise. Clarke has since admitted that was a bad mistake...

Howe also left the Flyers a little sour....
