honestly for the top6 Satan,Guerin or Nolan are better option than Lapierre,Pyatt,Moen or Darche and are better option over our prospects like Palushaj,Max Pac ,Desharnais.(none of them are ready to play top6 in the NHL)

If Gauthier can't land a top6 via trade market he will have to sign a vet to play on the top6

A proven top six contributor, which despite the delusions of some, is something we don't have another one of in the organization right now.

No one in the AHL is ready for those minutes and Lapierre is not the solution.

I'd prefer someone more physical, but I think you might have to take what you can get.

I would prefer Nolan as well.

As far as the article is concerned, all that Walsh says is that he's talking to some teams...

As I like to say: SHAMELESS

Why don't we just trade all of these players away for a salary dump>>Lapierre,Pyatt,Moen,Darche and sign all 3 of >Satan,Guerin,Nolan for a cool mill for them to split and a pocket full of subway tokens, that would be a fun line to watch

Cmon PG, please tell me this is a joke. I would take Nolan, but meh to Satan, but if it gets Tommy Pyatt off the ice, I probably wouldn't mind.

Because Pouliot is playing well with Darche and Halpern? You don't unplug one hole to fill another...

As for the Habs, well, if he has anything left in the tank I would mind him play for us (for cheap). Not a big deal though.
For hockey amusement, I'd like to see Ruutu, Tootoo, and Cheechoo play on a line, and hear the play by play.

It all depends how much we would sign him for but to be honest I'd first give a shot to some younger players in Hamilton like Desharnais or Palushaj.Anyways Gauthier knows

Satan is no longer top 6 material. He wasn't even good enough for the Pens to retain him and their wingers were - and still are - far worse than ours.

I'd only give this a shot after trying Palushaj, Desharnais and Maxwell

I can understand why Gauthier would be pursuing Satan, but I'd rather he pass on him. I won't get mad if he does sign him because like I said I understand where Gauthier is coming from, but I think it's best we don't.

Those wanting Nolan, he'd have to clear waivers before being allowed to play(read it on the main forum).

I'd rather Montreal be patient with the cap space. We have 1.4 million in room, it can be really useful. I'd only make a move if we hit a huge bump, right now we're winning and doing so convincingly.

That's exactly what I said.We have some players playing well in Hamilton right now who deserve a shot up here, give them a couple of games each if it doesn't work out then you make a move

Well, we are talking about free agents here, so the bar is not too high.

I'd take a flier on him over Nolan and Guerin based on his playoff performance.

Pretty sure that applies to anyone we sign from Europe.

Satan would have to clear too.

Correct.Right now we are playing well and picking up points, come deadline the way things are going there are teams might be out of the playoffs that we weren't expecting like Buffalo,New Jersey and might have something interesting for us to pick up.Having that cap space and adding a big player at the deadline can be key for us
