I think Getz and Perry WANT to play together judging on what they told Bobby and I think they know that in order for us to resign them both and stay competitive they cant take market value.

I dont think getz is worth 8-8.5 mil and if thats what he wants then we need to look into other options.

lol.. i highly doubt you'll see getzlaf walking out of the ducks franchise anytime soon.. if hes asking for 8 mil. i wouldnt be surprised to see him get it.. i think its overpayment but i still think he'll get it.. im hoping perry around 5.5-6 and getzlaf 6.5.. i think thats underpayment though

Believe me.... If he hits 90 again this year and next year then he deserves it... But he is gonna be 27 and still has not shown consistency.
Getz will probably sign for around $7.5. It's a little less than what he could get on the open market ($8.0 - $8.5), but he probably doesn't mind taking a small discount since he's our franchise guy and captain.
obviously until he does it. but I think he'll calm down and mature enough to get into that range. heck he was darn close to it 2 years ago.
now that he's married and has a kid on the way maybe he starts to step it up so he can afford to put food on the families plate? because what he makes now isn't enough.
Getzlaf is gonna get the same money as Staal and Lecavalier, he is very similar with those guys, cup-winning, 1st line center and captain. The cap hit will depend on the years; 5-year deal 8+, ten years 7+. The question is will Anaheim do a long deal? They never have before.

because what he makes now isn't enough.
