What games are you watching? Crisp pass to Camma in the first. Nice poke check at Prices crease to save a goal...

You expect him to be superman and be a one man show... He's not Bobby Orr.

I really hope it's not as bad as I think it is, but him punching the boards made me think it may be serious and he knows it. I hope it isn't though and I hope he'll be just fine.

The only hope I've got is that when you're fresh off an injury, you fear it's coming back every time you feel pain in the area, hence his reaction. Sometimes, it's not that serious.

Markov could be playing absolutley terrible and he'd still help the defense more then you can possibly imagine. Did you see the game against Vancouver? he was dominating.

after watching the video I think he might be ok, he sure can put some weight on his leg and he don't look in pain when he go out of the ice

I still remember the first time that I got to run on a tread mill after ACL reconstruction.
With 6 months of rehab your knee becomes your life.
I have a feeling that Markov punched the boards in frusteration because he is scared that his knee is done again. The thing is, it is most likely stronger than it was before and I would bet that the ligament is not torn.
Only time will tell, but I am hopefull for now...

on second look, looks like he was able to put some weight on it...even when he was on all fours on the ice.

Might just be a sprain, let`s hope...

On another note...alot of class by so called Habs fans in this thread. Saying `IF` he`s out long term to forget about a new contract?

stay classy Habs fans

Sorry but Markov also had a big injury at the end of 08-09, the injury in his next game was a fluke but these two recent ones now have me doubting he can stay healthy. He's turned into the Koivu of 1996-2001 all of a sudden (post-cancer Saku has actualy been more durable by far!). I guess these fears will keep Andrei from getting a 5-6 year deal for sure. Plus Markov throwing off his gloves and flailing is nothing, he used to do that when he got high sticked or hit into the boards back in his days of just getting nagging injuries (pre-2009).

One thing is that the brace really protects from blows coming from the side, which is how he got hit. But I really don't like how awkward it was for him to get off the ice. Basically whenever the Habs get rolling, something terrible happens so I'm expecting the worst.

The more I watch that video, the more I think he will be fine. Usually, when it is a ACL/knee injury, they have their leg up in the air at a 90 degree angle. Now you can see he's putting some pressure on it and it seems not so bad. Charly Horse!!

The Habs don't really have a choice. Like it or not, he's an essential part of the team, PK or no PK.

Hopefully he's okay. God I hate Eric Staal, even if that was not intentional.

With the flick of the wrist, Markov sent in at least two Habs on semi breakaways tonight...

While I agree he hasn't been "Markov" since he's returned...even a Markov at 75% is better than most

the guys give everything for this team and he's our best player, he better retire as a Habs

Still wondering how Staal didn't get a penalty on that play.....Habs were taking some weak calls all night, but somehow that didn't get called?

That's my take too. I think he's probably got a pretty bad charley horse from what I saw. Who knows though... Markov's very unlucky lately.

Yes but once you tear your ACL, I am sure it is a pain you will never forget. Seems to be he felt that pain again tonight judging by his reaction.
