Sens fans don't care much about Brust, he's a serviceable AHL back-up. We care about Robin Lehner

here are lehners stats from his last start

4 39:42 26 22 0

thats 4 goals on 26 shots.

rumor is he might not be 100%

and as of right now, in brust we trust.

bsens got the short end tonight. questionable hooking call on bass at the end of the game where the marlies player pulled the stick out of his hands.

followed by a condra part breakaway where he was pulled down with no call. final minute of the game o'brien was hold...marlie player had his arms wrapped around his waist, with no call. and the marlies iced the puck (while the bsens were shorthanded) and it was not called, granted we had brust pulled, so maybe the linesman got confused?

lehner will likely get the start tomorrow in chocolate town

According to Grady, and I haven't looked it up, but there is no icing called when a team is shorthanded, being the Sens at that time..

We just didn't show up til midway through the 1st, and it came back and bit us in the end..

wait, so the team on the power play can ice the puck? that's ludicrous.

not saying you or grady are wrong, but just seems ridiculous.

rule 81 reads as "any player of a team, equal or superior in numerical strength"

sounds like it should of been icing

I think it might refer to here..

81.6
"When a team is "short-handed" as the result of a penalty and the penalty is about to expire, the decision as to whether there has been "icing" shall be determined at the instant the penalty expires. Should the puck be released from the stick of the player shooting the puck down the ice prior to the penalty expiring, the icing infraction shall not apply. The action of the penalized player remaining in the penalty box will not alter the ruling."

So was the penalty going to expire?? Is this what Grady is referring to??

Ya and that's why I said Brust is serviceable. He did a very good job while half the organization goalies were injured. But Lehner is a very important prospect for the Sens. Has all the tools to be great (physical to mental) so the guy acting like Bingo has no chance winning with Lehner in nets is kinda unfair since the kid has 4 games only and played great in 2 of them. He is a bit "green" at the pro-level for now but watch this kid develop. I trust his abilities and work ethic.

Anyway, sucks for Bingo that things didn't go their way. It looks like this is the same story in the AHL as in the NHL against Toronto. lol
