Being a drummer myself, Danny Carey just blew my mind when I first heard them. Heard they're working on new album but I also know APC just got back together. Not sure whats going on, but was really looking forward to more stuff.

Been on a strict Claypool diet lately....

AH, that song is pretty tight. Reminds me of Air.

Lizst was the ****ing man. So was Chopin. Chopin's Marche Funebre, in it's entirety, is actually pretty damned beautiful/uplifting. I once taught myself how to read sheet, so i could arrange and tap some of this on bass:

Most people have probably never heard any of this except the beginning. also, i've promptly forgotten how to read sheet. bummer.

I downloaded A Sunny Day in Glasgow's new album (which is free with optional donation, which I'll do...eventually...I promise), and under genre on iTunes it says 'Awesome'

Ok, this is a movie trailer, but more Karin Dreijer Andersson, as in...music plus she's in the movie.

This is going to rule, because there is no possible way it can't.

Guilty pleasure of mine for the past week or so. It's fun going from Wolves in the Throne Room, Drudkh, Sun O))), then this. Stumbled on this band while looking for depressing slow music ala Jesu, Angelic Process, etc. Have NO idea why the band was recommended to me, but like them for some odd reason.

Legendary bass god Tetsuo Sakurai (Casiopea, baby!) + mother ****ing Dennis Chambers + Greg mother ****ing Howe = some of the greatest jazz funk fuzion.

Been listening to the new Sakurai CD like crazy, but also started spinning Gentle Hearts again. My band wants to play this song now, for obvious reasons, but I'm too lazy to transcribe this ****.

Hey guys, hope you don't mind a Bruins' fan posting in here. I always venture over to this thread because the music posted is usually outstanding. We can't keep a music thread on the Bruins board up like you guys can. The eclectic taste in here is awesome.

If you don't mind, I'd like to add a cover I came across the other day. I'm usually into metal, punk hardcore etc. but in large part because of this thread, I've been getting into more indie and folk type stuff.

Anyways, this cover is by some artist named Emily Wells (Sorry if she's been posted in here). This is her cover of Juicy by The Notorious B.I.G. It's weird and a bit creepy. I'm in love with it.

Not sure if he's been posted in here before, but Shad K is hip-hop artist out of London, Ontario. He's a great lyricist and he even throws in some hockey references
