Some here will like this quote (from the Inq.). Maybe a new avatar slogan?

Quote:
Sergei Bobrovsky, the Flyers' unflappable Russian goalie, is starting to pick up English. When Flyers public-relations manager Joe Siville asked him, "What's up?" Bobrovsky replied, "Not much. Just chillin'."

Hello there.

Also, those idiots on the Florida broadcasting team need to learn how to pronounce Bobrovsky.

Less than 20 games down, and I can't remember feeling better than any season I've been following.

YES! I mentioned in the game thread I wanted to see Bob's funny face on the leader's board on ESPN's NHL site but they haven't updated yet but this works!

from that article:

Quote:
When you came to Philadelphia the media touted you as the next big thing, the next big goaltender for the Flyers. Did you feel the weight of expectations?
what the hell? when did that happen? the media either didn't know who he was or, if they did, assumed he'd be playing in adirondack or maybe filling in a bit until leighton got healthy. i don't remember anyone writing that this kid would be the answer to our 20 year goaltending woes.

you'd do it too if you went from playing on a horrendous team in the KHL to one of the best teams in the best hockey league in the world. judging by his GAA and record in the KHL, he had a bunch of randy joneses playing in front of him.

Believe it or not (and I dont think you can), his defensemen in the KHL were WORSE than Randy Jones.

He is close to his career KHL wins total from 2 seasons already this year in the NHL.

I think he only won like 15 games in 2 years

In what will definitely become a hot topic at some point this year, it's interesting to note that he never played more than 35 games in a season.

Yeah for sure. I heard that KHL has lots of practice though to make up for lack of games. Not sure if it is true or not

The highest scorer on Bob's team had 24 points in 53 games. Best goal scorer had 16. Nobody on his team was a +
