JBO + Frolov, close, but I think JBO is quite a bit better than Klesla and Nash isn't that much better than Frolov to swing my vote.

Nash > Frolov
but
Bouwmeester >>> Klesla

JayBo has already held his own against some of the best competition in the world. He is enough of a step above Klesla right now that I take him and the lesser forward. Cause it isn't like Frolov is a bad player, he just isn't Nash. But I LOVE JayBo.

i believe in klesla to turn into a lowclass top defensemen, someone like a zubov... solid, but never gets the credit he'll deserve

Frolov IMO is more complete player than Nash who is more of a pure goal scorer

When all is said and done, Frolov will be as dangerous a scorer as Nash, but the difference between Jay-Bo and Klesla is huuuuuuuuuuge.

I agree i truelly believe Frolov is highly underrated.... - He led the RSL in GPG this year above Kovalchuk, Jagr, etc.... Not trying to say he is better yet in the send he may put up a few less goals but surelly more pts Nash will have like 40 goals but 10 assists and -30 rating while Frolov will put a few less goals and a whole lot more assists plus all other stats which Nash fails to do. Plus stated everywhere else Jay is far infront of Klesla

Come on. Nash has already had a 40 goal season and is 21. Frolov is older and still hasn't done that. He maybe a more complete player but for pure goalscoring, I don't think Frolov will ever reach Nash's numbers

Nash and Klesla without thinking twice. I`ll take the best player every time. I also don`t think the difference between Klesla and Boumeester is as big as people here seem to believe.

Nash and Klesla

I never see him play because we never see the Kings on TV, here in Quebec, but looking at his stats, I don'T understand why people in these boards are as high as that on him.

Nash is 20, 41 goals scorer... Frolov? 48 points... and older.

and Klesla is underated. He's a slow developper, I think he'll breakout next year

You canīt just look at numbers and Nash had like 57p, not that much higher than Frolov anyway. And i donīt really think Frolov got the same amount of ice-time as Nash, especially on the pp. Frolov also is much better defensively and a better playmaker than Nash. You could also look at Frolovs stats in the RSL (he had better ppg than Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, etc)

Completely agree with your post...

The best player wins out.. esp. in a league with anemic offence.
I also gotta say that Klesla is not all that bad of a defender (as some have alluded to) and the difference between him and Bouwmeester, in comparison to Nash & Frolov, is truly not all that different.

So the question, broken down comes to
Pure goalscorer (quite possibly purest in the league right now)
&
Potential # 1 defenceman

OR

Potential top line forward
&
# 1 defenceman

I would go with the Bouwmeester/Frolov pkg.

finding a #1 dman that you can build your defense around is harder to find IMO than adding scoring in your lineup.

Not saying that's all Nash is... and if my team already had a solid 1-2 on defense for the next several years, I'd take Nash over Bouwmeester and Frolov.

But all things being equal, where your needs aren't any higher up front than on defense, this is the best combo for a team IMO.

Frolov is also pretty underrated. He plays on a bad team where the focus has been on their injuries, and loss of Allison, Deadmarsh and even Palffy for long stretches. Frolov played solid still, without the stars there, and had a lot more defensive responisbilities than Nash did. Frolov is a more complete player, and a guy that could fit into any team's #1 line... his offense will continue to improve, and on any contender, where he actually has some offensive players to play with, he'll supply more than enough offense, with the rest of the pkg he brings.

The impact of a #1 dman though IMO is huge, and the overall drop off from Nash to Frolov isn't that great that it compensates for that #1 dman.

Klesla is still young and improving, but his potential just isn't as high.
