Thanks for the good article.
Hazy and Ahlers gave Lydman some kind words tonight as well.
Hopefully, Toni will continue with a strong season.

Toni is now leading +/- stats of the defensemen in league (+11).

Color me impressed with the way he plays, I never really watched him before due to his play in NY, but watching him over that last half dozen games, what a player.

Lulz at some of the posts in that thread. 50% of the fans really hated the Lydman signing. Haven't heard of Kirk since... Maybe he has started to like Lydman for 3m also.

Dude has been a rock so far, I'm surprised with how physical and strong he is. He keeps people pinned up against the boards and is really strong in the corners. Not enough good things could be said about him.

Fans hated that we signed ''only'' Lyd in that good market, not the guy.

This is discussed many times, and i agree with that, Martin would take huge overpayment and that`d hurt us long time.

All I wanted was for Murray to call one of the other top Dmen.

Maybe it would have taken overpayment. But we will never know because Murray never tried.

And I'm glad he didn't... seeing as we've got one of the best performers thus far this season out of the defensive group that hit free agency. We've also got room to play around with as far as the cap goes, so if the defense doesn't work out when Sutton arrives (don't see why it wouldn't) we've got room to play around with.

Don't believe everything Murray says to the media.

Wait...are you serious?

Imagine if we could have iced a lineup with a Volchenkov, Martin, or Michalek to go along with Lubo, Lydman, and Fowler. That would be a very very good top 4.

Read this article when it went online...makes me miss Tonza on my Sabres that much more. He's really flourishing right now for you guys, but you have to remember all this excellent play when his trademarked hand grenade turnovers cost you guys a few games.

And, for the sake of awesome, a friend of mine and myself call him Berzerker (think Clerks).

Would you like to blocking puck BERZERKER

My love for you is slapping puck BERZERKER

If you see a Lydman/Berzerker sign when the Ducks visit Buffalo, it's me

Nice to see this man playing this good here, and gaining some deserved respect. Now he has shown he can be top pairing D-man.

I trusted Lydman is a good sign back then, because earlier I've seen him play alot in National team and Lyde has allways been one of the good performers, but not first pair man because Kimmo Timonen and Sami Salo. Now he has a good change to show that he can take that responsibility.
