I talked to some people that would know about this stuff and the consensus among them makes me 99% sure the Isles higher ups are behind this and for the 1st time in my 16 years of living, I wish with all my heart that I wasn't an Islanders fan...I love the islanders probably more than anything other than god and my family and they have been THE biggest influence of my life, i mean hell I'm looking at colleges now and a major concern is I wanna be able to get to LI quick enough to be able to get to any really big games and you know right now, I don't know...I kinda wish that they weren't in my life at all.

First Isles fire Botta, then stop sponsering his blog, then they make him apply for media pass for each game when devils and rangers give him season media pass. Then Snow wont do interviews (since last season) with botta.. Botta goes easy on this Wang Character and his pitch man (snow) for 2 years, Botta finnaly grows a pair, and rips Wang/snow...now point blank is shut down. ITs either a lawsuit, from Wang, or Wang called Bottas sponsers, (aol fanhouse or the ny sports channel thing he tries to sell us)

Wang is running the communications of this organization like a Chinese Dictator. Too bad he cant run a hockey team like Beijing is running the economy. We would of had 7 Stanley Cups by now!!

What a joke. Wang hates Botta and we all hate Wang.

I tried to think this through and tried to think of any reasons why this WOULDN'T be due to maybe legal pressure from Snow and Wang...but with the way Chris worded it...it's hard not to think the organization stepped in. Chris has been very upfront with us about the goings-on with the site...the fact that he uses the terms "indefinitely", "unexpectedly" and "shut down"...usually means it's something with a legal aspect.

I first thought that maybe SNY was going to overhaul the design of the site and they told Chris that they didn't know how long it'd take (hence the indefinitely part)...and perhaps Chris wanted it to be a surprise for his IPB visitors. I think that would be the only logical possibility...however, Chris hints that this is an unexpected shut down...I think he would've known well in advance that work was going to be done on the site.

Or, perhaps, it's a personal matter with Chris and his family that is causing him to step away. I guess that would also be possible.

Maybe Botta blew his bandwidth quota with all the hits over this craziness.

Man, the wheels are just falling off everything in Islanders country.

This is madness.

Can't wait until they're playing hockey again in 24hrs...

Anyone have any info on this?

Where is this posted? I went to his website and I follow him on Twitter and don't see anything like this.

I love the Isles' Facebook post that they just posted about their $18.87 promotion. 15 comments so far...some commenting on IPB being shut down and demanding they lay off Chris, others saying they're burning their jerseys, others saying they wouldn't even go if the tix were free. Not one positive comment.

God, no. Then this drama would go on for months. At least tomorrow night we can watch those nice uniforms skate around on a clean sheet of ice and root for the players for a couple hours.

There is so much drama with this organization its become expected. If I check HF Boards and there isn't some new outrageous development, I'm almost disappointed at this point.

You think the drama will ever STOP while Wang owns the team?

It was hard finding any positive comments about anything posted on that page which is kind of funny because i am sure this is getting back to Wang.

Given the moves we can prove Wang made since purchasing the Islanders, I'm going to assume that he had Point Blank shut down until I hear otherwise.

I think this is how he avoided jail with Computer Associates. Just shut down all sources of information until no one has enough to prove anything beyond a shadow of a doubt.

When I look at point blank bottas statement is still on it, just down a few inches. I think we saw the writing on the wall...Botta was like a info commercial for the Isles up till a week ago when he went hard after Snow and Wang out of the blue.

Charlie can't handle the truth, or he's too stupid to see how the fans see him and the way he runs this frnachise. He can't possibly think that by suppressing negative press he will change the outlook of the NYI's.

I hope not anyway, because it's having the opposite effect. Either way, I hope this clown comes down with a rare case of continual explosive diarrhea.
